«Please do it today. I bet Mitchel is with Raegan right now,” Katie said, clearly upset. «You may not know it, but Raegan had given birth to a child with another man. Mitchel ignores her own son but takes care of Raegan's, totally delighted with her.

Luciana, remembering her encounters with Raegan, felt herself becoming confused. His memories of Raegan being polite and loving clashed with the idea that Katie was implying to him, painting Raegan as some kind of witch who was out to ruin Mitchel.

Clutching her head in pain, Luciana groaned and said, “Katie, my head hurts. "I need to lie down."

That same night, Raegan learned that Mitchel was being investigated by Erick, who was abroad.

Without wasting a moment, Raegan called Mitchel. The phone barely rang once before he answered.

At that moment the doorbell rang.

“Wait a second,” Raegan said, thinking that Annis had arrived at the door with the groceries.

Raegan went to open the door, but as she did so she ran into Mitchel, as handsome as ever.

Mitchel smiled slightly, with a playful tone. «Miss Foster, it seems that a homeless man has shown up at your door. Could I let him in?

Mitchel's face looked calm, but Raegan noticed the shadows of fatigue darkening his eyes.

Immobilized by a tumult of emotions, Raegan felt Mitchel's arms gently wrap around her and his chin rest on her shoulder.
