Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Mitchel left the meeting room and headed to his office.
Katie followed Henley to an empty conference room.
"Why are you betraying me?" Katie demanded angrily to Henley.
Henley was not surprised. He had always seen Katie as someone who would not hesitate to employ any ruthless plan to achieve her desired goals.
"Peaceful. Katie, I'm on your side. Henley's tone was even.
«On my side?» Katie snorted. «You yourself are trying to climb positions. But really, for a bastard like you, isn't it too much?
Henley's face went cold for a moment. But he quickly recovered.
Katie, this may be the only way Mitchel will give you a chance, don't you think?
Katie was speechless for a second.
Henley went on to explain: "People may not notice the flowers when they are in full bloom, but they will remember who kept them warm in the cold."
Katie thought about it and saw some sense in his argument. With Mitchel backed into a corner, she seemed to be the only one who could rescue him. Plus, he figured Henley's wasn't strong enough to really take down Mitchel. At most, Henley could only pose a few obstacles for Mitchel. And these obstacles could prove to her advantage.
When Mitchel left the conference room, his office had already been searched by a professional and all his documents and things had been taken.
Surprisingly, Luciana was there waiting.
At this moment, Luciana was supporting Katie, her gaze towards Mitchel somewhat averted. "Mitchel, why don't you listen to me for once and treat Katie right?"
Even at that moment, Luciana naively believed that things would go much better than if Mitchel and Katie teamed up.
Katie, with her hands clenched, looked at Mitchel with eyes full of sadness. «Mitchel, I swear I had no idea why Henley would say that. "I will do whatever it takes to fix things." However, there was a catch. If Mitchel accepted his help, he would have to be just as sincere in return.
Luciana intervened, trying to smooth things over: âMitchel, Katie didn't know about this. "He cares about you."
Mitchel couldn't help but laugh. "So this is what everyone wanted?"
âMitchel, you got it all wrong, Iâ¦â Katie stated.
Mitchel cut her off. "Katie, I thought you had some common sense, but it seems like you're no smarter than Henley."
Katie frowned, visibly annoyed. Then, with tears filling her eyes, she implored, âMitchel, I had no idea about any of this. Please believe me. And right now, I'm your best chance for help, right?
Mitchel just scoffed. "You couldn't be more wrong."
Katie began to freak out, beginning to doubt the effectiveness of Henley's plans.
As Mitchel walked away, Katie desperately looked for Henley to take the next step.
