Chapter 602

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

? ? ? ? ?

In his world, once his objectives were achieved, manipulating relationships was just another strategy.

Raegan turned the doorknob and entered, only to be greeted by Mitchel at the door. He stared at her with deep, dark eyes, not even blinking.

Raegan's cheeks heated up. He thought that since they had chosen to be together, sincerity was the key. So she stayed close enough for him to hear her and calm down.

However, despite his determination, standing in front of Mitchel made him regret his previous words.

Raegan looked at his pale, handsome face with a worried expression. «Why are you up? Let me help you get back to bed.” Was it really wise for him to be standing with a cane right after waking up?

Raegan reached out to help Mitchel, but he grabbed her quickly, pulling her into a firm hug, making it difficult for her to catch her breath.

“Mitchel?” Raegan stiffened, wondering if he was in pain or too weak to stand.

He quickly asked, “Does anything hurt? Should I call the doctor? His concern was evident.

“No,” Mitchel said in a low, reassuring voice, comforting her from above.

His tone was full of emotion, although he seemed tense, as he expressed seriously and softly: "Thank you for choosing to come back to me..."

Raegan's heart felt overflowing with heat, as if it would dissolve completely.

"Mitchel, thank you." Raegan hugged him back, saying, "Thank you for holding on to me."

Without Mitchel, Raegan assumed he wouldn't have survived. His bravery in saving her life was something she deeply appreciated.

Mitchel looked down, his eyes reflecting a happy smile. The effort he had made was finally paying off. How could I not feel joy?

«You don't have to thank me. As your husband, I am here to support you.

Raegan's cheeks turned pink again, whispering, "What a husband..."

They didn't have a marriage certificate, so they were more of a couple than spouses.

Mitchel smiled playfully. «We were married once. "You can't get rid of me."

He knew it wasn't easy for her to take that step. Therefore, he waited patiently, ready to get the marriage certificate with her when she was ready to open her heart fully.

Raegan's ears warmed and she nudged him gently. «You should lie down now. "You've been on your feet for too long."

Mitchel's gaze intensified and he whispered close to her ear, "It's hard." Difficult in a way that came from a deep longing to be close when his state resisted…

Before Raegan could reply, he kissed her, a quick brush of their lips before pulling away.

It had been almost a month since they last shared such closeness.

Even this brief contact made Raegan's face heat up.
