Chapter 519

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

? ? ? ? ?

Seeing her look, Mitchel felt a tightness in his chest, it was almost difficult to breathe. I wanted to ask him if she didn't want to have a child with him, then with whom?

Worried that his controlling attitude might alienate her, Mitchel suppressed his intense possessiveness. He gently let go of her hand, his expression became gloomy, and said in a low voice, “I will buy you medication.”

Raegan was speechless again.

Mitchel returned with two types of medicine from the pharmacy.

One was the morning after pill, and the other was vitamins.

Raegan's doctor once suggested that using the morning-after pill could be dangerous to her health. So she didn't want me to take it. Furthermore, considering the rush this morning, he doubted conception would occur so easily after just one attempt.

Once back in the car, Mitchel gave Raegan the vitamins with some warm water after opening the package.

Raegan, feeling touched, expressed her gratitude: "Thank you." Although Mitchel could be domineering at times, he showed loving actions.

Raegan's gentle thanks seemed to calm Mitchel's irritation, and he felt comforted by seeing her take the vitamins.

Mitchel thought Raegan wasn't ready yet. There was no need to rush. They had all the time in the world.

The car engine hummed again.

It didn't take them long to reach Raegan's study.

Just as Raegan was about to get out of the car, Mitchel gently took her hand, clarifying, "I'm not against helping Miss Lawrence, but this matter involves deliberate harm." And since Jarrod has not pressed charges against Miss Lawrence, it is difficult for me to intervene.

Raegan understood. The situation between Nicole and Jarrod was certainly complex, not really open to interference from others. Considering Nicole's decision to take care of Jarrod, Mitchel's hands were tied.

Raegan nodded. "Okay, I understand."

A quiet moment passed between them.

Mitchel didn't answer the door, apparently hesitant to let Raegan go, and Raegan sensed he might have something else to say.

However, after a brief silence, Mitchel simply looked at Raegan, his eyes holding her with a hypnotizing gaze. I just didn't want to let her go!

Raegan felt her cheeks heat up under his intense gaze and broke the silence. «Thank you for bringing me. "Now I have to go to my office."

Mitchel wished she could stay with him longer, but he saw no reason to ask her, so he let her go, albeit with some reluctance.

Watching her from the car window as she drove away, Mitchel felt compelled to say, "If you need anything, come to me and..."

And he added softly, "I'll come pick you up tonight."

Even though Mitchel had promised not to try to seduce Raegan again this morning, here he was, doing it in the afternoon.

Raegan was surprised, she didn't expect it. Mitchel had been furious earlier in the day. Why this sudden kindness? He refused.

«Don't bother. My family's driver..."

Mitchel interrupted: "We agreed that I would be your driver, and it turns out that I have something to do in that direction tonight."

Raegan didn't object to his offer as something crossed her mind. "Just a second."

Mitchel's expression changed subtly, his smile appearing naturally.

“What do you have in mind?” His tone was soft and unhurried.

Raegan took a check out of her purse and passed it through the car window. «The other day I met Brent. He told me that he had asked you for five million. Here you have the payment.

Raegan had planned to pay off this debt the day before yesterday, but she got caught up in Nicole's problems and forgot. Now was as good a time as any. He didn't like delays.

Mitchel's expression turned grim and his mouth formed a firm line.

“What is it about?”

Thinking she hadn't explained herself well, Raegan explained, "I wanted to pay you back for the money you gave Brent. Please don't give him more if he asks you again.

Raegan had already given Brent two hundred thousand. It wasn't a huge sum, but it was significant enough. That amount could cover three years of rent, and with a steady job, Brent could get by just fine. That is if Brent decided to start over and not waste the opportunity.

Raegan had once helped Brent settle a debt of three million to the villagers and another million from the sale of a house, making it more than four million. And now, Mitchel had handed out five million more!

For a normal person, almost nine million could buy a decent house and ensure a comfortable future. However, Brent was always looking for more.

Raegan knew that Brent was her savior's only son and considered she had fulfilled her responsibilities with that amount of money. From now on, he resolved not to interfere in Brent's affairs or give him any more money.

When Mitchel wouldn't accept the check, Raegan, feeling her arm getting tired, placed it on the dashboard. Then he gave her some heartfelt advice: If Brent comes to you again, tell him we're divorced. "He has no reason to ask you for money."

Raegan wasn't lecturing for no reason. He understood Brent's character very well. Brent probably saw Mitchel as "the walking ATM!"

Mitchel's face became even colder. I couldn't take it anymore.

Raegan refused to have his child and he reluctantly put up with it. She insisted on taking the morning-after pill, and he managed to tolerate it by giving her vitamins. Now, she was settling old debts, and making it clear that they had no ties!

Raegan's final stance made Mitchel grip the steering wheel so hard his knuckles whitened, a wave of frustration filling his chest.

Suddenly, he ripped the check off the dashboard, tore it into pieces, and with a steely look, said firmly: “I decided to give that money. "It's not your place to worry."

Then he stepped on the accelerator and the car sped away.

Raegan couldn't believe his behavior. His mood was too unpredictable.

Back in her office, Raegan threw herself into her work, putting the previous day's events out of her mind.
