Chapter 503

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

? ? ? ? ?

This wasn't the way she wanted it to happen. Otherwise, how would you distinguish yourself from him, so lacking in empathy? Participating in such a destructive act, how could he look his late parents in the eyes if he met death?

And then there was Austin. Nicole couldn't abandon Austin. He needed to remain resilient until Austin's health was fully restored.

Tough enough to outlast Jarrod!

The car stopped at an isolated village.

Immediately, attendants approached with a stretcher to transport Jarrod inside.

Medical professionals were already on scene tending to Jarrod. Alec stood outside, turned to Nicole and said sternly, "Miss Lawrence, please exit the vehicle."

Looking at the isolated villa, Nicole felt a premonition and instinctively backed away. «What are your intentions? "I want to go home."

Alec sneered: "Does Miss Lawrence wish to come home?"

«Indeed, or I could turn myself in. It wasn't deliberate. "He was trying to rape me!"

«You seem very confident, Miss Lawrence. "Perhaps you would like to listen to the audio from the car's dash cam?"

Alec had reviewed the recording. Although Jarrod had momentarily lost control, he eventually gave up, promising not to coerce Nicole.

Even so, Nicole had inflicted a wound on Jarrod with the metal edge of the seat's headrest.

The interplay between Nicole's statement and her actions was intricately synchronized, almost too perfectly aligned. With Alec's intervention, Nicole's argument would have no chance of winning if it went to court.

Knowing Alec's ability, Nicole's gaze hardened and she asked, "What do you want?"

"I don't want anything except..." Alec stopped and then said coldly, "Miss Lawrence, have you seriously injured Mr. Schultz and are hoping to get away with it?" Isn't that too much?

Nicole reiterated: "It was not deliberate."

Alec didn't care about her defenses, grabbing Nicole's arm and urging her out of the vehicle.

Then he told him bluntly: “Go out. Stay here until Mr. Schultz regains consciousness.

Nicole realized that Alec wouldn't let her leave. Realizing this, he preferred to wait for Jarrod to recover. Furthermore, this place seemed to be Jarrod's sanctuary. It could contain vital secrets.

With that in mind, he entered the villa with composure.

Behind Nicole, Alec watched her back with a steely gaze. He didn't share Jarrod's feelings for Nicole. For him, Jarrod's safety was paramount.

If Jarrod didn't survive, Alec would no longer feel bound by Jarrod's directives. He would eliminate Nicole himself to ensure she followed Jarrod to the grave.

At Doreen's villa.

Doreen got out of the black Mercedes SUV from the back seat. She had expected to sit in the front, but a large box Roscoe had placed there made her choose the back seat, as she felt too shy to ask him to move it.

After getting out of the car, Doreen stood circling the car, casting admiring glances at Roscoe. I was expecting you to ask for your contact information. He found it strange, since they had enjoyed a lovely evening and had not exchanged contact details. At least, he supposed they had spent a wonderful night together.

Seeing that Doreen was still standing by the vehicle, Roscoe said politely, "Miss Schultz, goodbye."

And he started to roll up the window, preparing to leave.

Doreen was taken aback. Was that all? Why hadn't he asked for his information? Did he expect her, a lady, to make the first move? Questions raced through Doreen's mind.

Just as Roscoe's car began to drive away, Doreen steeled herself and said, "Roscoe..."

Roscoe turned to her, and one look from him made Doreen blush.

He was excessively handsome, his eyes were clear. His eyes conveyed warmth.

Blushing, Doreen gathered her courage and said, "Have you forgotten something?"

"What have I forgotten?" Roscoe asked, really perplexed.

"I was referring to my contact information." Doreen, her cheeks red, ventured, "If we don't exchange numbers, how will we keep in touch once we're apart?"

"No need," Roscoe simply replied.

"Hey?" Doreen was perplexed, thinking that Roscoe had missed her point, and impulsively said, "Roscoe, I really like him..."

Roscoe showed no interest in continuing the conversation, cutting it off with a distant air: "Miss Schultz, our meeting for today is concluded."

"That?" Doreen was taken aback, her voice shaking. «Roscoe, what are you implying?

Roscoe said bluntly, “I came to see you today at the request of my family. “Now that it is over, there is no need for further interaction.”

“But Roscoe, we seemed to connect so well today…”

"Ms. Schultz, you are wrong. I have no interest in you, and...

Roscoe's gaze turned icy and sharp. «Please don't use my first name.

“Ro…” Doreen began, but stopped before his stern gaze, remaining silent.

«Aren't you interested? Feeling slighted, Doreen challenged him directly: "Have you considered what aligning with me could offer you?"

I couldn't understand his indifference. Being with her could cement his status in the Watts lineage. Otherwise, he risked being an outsider in the Watts family.

Doreen wasn't used to such outright rejection, but she was really attracted to Roscoe's looks. Therefore, she uttered, softening her tone, “I will overlook your previous remarks. "Just offer an apology."

Doreen had given him a chance to make amends.

However, Roscoe just offered a slight smile, started the car's engine, and drove away. He had no interest in any woman other than Nicole.

Today's meeting with Doreen was a direct order from her family.

That was all he had committed to. Only to ensure Doreen's safe return and nothing beyond that.
