Chapter 501
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
? ? ? ? ?
His attention remained fixed on the couple in front of him.
Having spent a day with Roscoe, Doreen was used to his calm demeanor, so his lack of reaction didn't faze her.
Turning to the embraced couple, Doreen gave a knowing smile and quipped, âJarrod, spare us the show of love, will you? "Go to a room."
Smiling at Roscoe, Jarrod said, âOkay, we'll do it.
Have a good time."
He then took Nicole by the hand and led her away.
This time, Nicole's attempt to free herself was in vain. She felt a burning gaze following her, almost tangible against her skin. However, she knew there was no hope for her and Roscoe. I didn't want to repeat the same mistakes. It was time for everything to go back to how it was before.
Shaking Roscoe's arm, Doreen said, "Come on."
Roscoe followed him insensibly, lost in thought.
Nicole got into Jarrod's car, while Roscoe and Doreen remained nearby.
With a cheerful gesture, Doreen said goodbye to Jarrod. "Goodbye, Jarrod!"
Jarrod nodded. Then, noticing how distracted Nicole was next to him, he leaned over to help her fasten her seat belt.
Nicole stepped back instinctively and snapped, "Jarrod, now that they're gone, how much longer must we keep up this charade?"
"Farce?" For the first time that night, Jarrod had abandoned all pretense and kissed Nicole hard. «Nicole, I'm so fucking in love with you. Do you think I'm just acting like you are?
Nicole was shocked by Jarrod's unexpected revelation. What had he discovered? EITHERâ¦
Nicole's turbulent thoughts overshadowed Jarrod's forceful kisses.
Nicole's full, pink lips exerted an irresistible attraction on Jarrod.
Although Nicole was unresponsive, Jarrod was still crazy about her. He longed for her, missed her, after having foolishly spent endless nights in the company of a lifeless body he assumed was her.
Jarrod simply accepted it, even when he belatedly realized that she had cheated on him. Knowing that she despised him, he had allowed her to express his anger. Sensing his desire to hurt him, he had willingly handed him the weapon when he needed it.
However, he would never tolerate her falling in love with someone else. Since she had spent the first part of her life in love with him, he wouldn't complain even if she hated his guts for the rest of her life. He was content with her being at his side.
But the thought of Nicole experiencing everyday life with another man abroad hurt him deeply.
Jarrod traveled to Swynborough, where Nicole spent her days, marking her new beginning without him.
Through his investigations, Jarrod learned that Nicole, using the alias Nell, had led a simple life there with a young academic. On weekends they walked through the park, fed the pigeons in the square and went shopping together. Plus, they had a son! Nicole had started a family with that man.
According to neighbors, the boy was rarely taken outside, and had only been seen from afar once. The child was thin and small, he seemed to have not yet turned three years old.
Jarrod scoffed. While he endured sleepless nights filled with agony at the thought of her dying near the cliff, Nicole enjoyed a mundane existence with another man. They cheated on him together.
Realizing this, Jarrod felt as if the towering buildings in his mind were quickly collapsing. It led him to want to destroy everything, to the brink of madness.
Jarrod's thin, icy lips forcefully invaded Nicole's. Finally, Nicole abruptly came to, pushing Jarrod hard.
"Hmm!" Nicole's nails left a deep, bloody scratch on Jarrod's face, but she still couldn't stop him.
Jarrod seemed as wild as a possessed creature, driven by the desire to destroy everything around him.
Nicole bit his lip hard, and in response, Jarrod squeezed her jaw so hard it looked like he was going to dislocate it.
Nicole's eyelashes trembled and tears ran down her face. Her eyes, red and filled with tears, radiated a tragic beauty.
For a moment, Jarrod's merciless grip softened and he roared, "Nicole, how could you have a child with another man!"
Bang! It was like an explosion went off in his head. Nicole's eyes snapped open, realizing that Jarrod had discovered Austin's existence.
He had found out sooner than she expected.
Noticing Nicole's expression, Jarrod felt a wave of sadness, his heart breaking.
"Is this Watts the father?" Overcome with pain, Jarrod's voice was eerily slow and as cold as the ashes of hell.
Breathing a sigh of relief at not knowing that he was Austin's father, Nicole responded with a weak smile, "I wish it was his, but unfortunately it's not."
"So who is the father?" Jarrod asked, through clenched teeth.
Nicole responded with a weak smile: "When I was abroad, I took too many painkillers and got sick on the street, and then I got pregnant. "I don't know who the father is."
Jarrod's gaze turned icy: âYou're lying! "It has to be that Watts guy."
Nicole scoffed. «Dr. Watts has a promising future. Why would he have a child with me? If you had checked, you would know that the father is listed as unknown in the hospital records.
"Where is the child now?" Jarrod pressed.
Jarrod had been searching for the child's whereabouts for a long time without success, or he would have already taken him to confirm paternity with the alleged father. Once he identified the child's father, he vowed to eliminate that man!
Nicole replied nonchalantly, âI handed over the child when I returned.â
«Don't lie. "I doubt you would."
«Why couldn't I do it? Tell me, Jarrod, why should I care? You should be relieved that this child is not yours, or I would have killed him myself! Nicole snapped.
Nicole had prepared for this confrontation and had hidden Austin well in advance. Jarrod would never find it.
Given Austin's delicate condition, Nicole simply grabbed Austin at the door for fun, allowing her neighbor to catch a glimpse of Austin and fool the neighbor about Austin's age. She had been planning this for years.
That Roscoe discovered her earlier than expected was unexpected. But that was fine. Jarrod's care granted him the opportunity to execute his plan.
