Chapter 454
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

With a look that seemed to delve into his soul, Mitchel gently challenged, âConsider our current proximity and then reconsider your words, okay?â
Looking down, Raegan realized the compromising nature of their closeness, her position on his lap underscoring the intimacy they shared. Their bodies were closely aligned, generating perceptible heat. Worse yet, he refused to let her go.
In a softer tone, Raegan expressed her frustration: "You're too controlling."
"I will heed your wishes from now on," Mitchel promised.
Raegan had doubts about his promise.
True to his style, he soon added, in a harsh voice: "I'll tell you before I kiss you."
Left speechless, Raegan preferred silence to further debate. Experience had taught her that arguing with him was an exercise in futility.
âAre you mad at me again?â Mitchel asked, watching his stoic expression. He tried to lighten the mood: "I'm just kidding."
In reality, Raegan's frustration was not directed at him, but at herself. Only she could understand the confusion she felt. Her feelings were gradually evolving, a change that filled her with unease.
Mitchel, interpreting her silence as a refusal of his advances, asked timidly, "Raegan, I'm sure I'm not so unpleasant that you can't stand me, right?"
For a brief moment, Raegan didn't know what to respond, biting her lip and contradicting her true feelings. "Maybe it's because I don't like you."
His words hit Mitchel deeply, as if a needle had pricked his heart.
He was fully aware that the Raegan who had once adored him was long gone. However, that did not discourage him. He was determined to get Raegan back, despite the loss of memory of their shared past.
âI can be patientâ¦â he whispered, willing to wait for their affection to rekindle. When he gently rested his chin on her head, his usual playful tone was replaced with one tinged with sadness.
At that moment, Raegan felt an unexpected pang of sadness, as if she were catching his pain. He quickly brushed aside these contemplations, stating, "I have to go now."
The restrictions imposed by Erick were clear and she could not afford to stay longer than necessary.
Mitchel looked up, his voice rough with emotion. «Just a little more. "Let me hug you."
They embraced each other in silence, their connection stopping the world around them. It was as if, at that moment, they were the only two people who existed.
Raegan could feel the depth of his desire to keep her close, as if he wanted to merge her with his own being.
Mitchel insisted on taking Raegan home. In the end, Raegan relented and got into Mitchel's car, with her own driver behind her.
In the shadows, a black luxury car housed a pair of eyes that watched them carefully, emanating a chilling hostility.
Mitchel's car and Raegan's car left one after the other.
Instead, the black car remained where it was parked.
Inside this car, the bodyguard in black turned to the back seat and asked, "Sir, do you want to follow them?"
The mysterious man in the back seat rested his thin fingers on his chin. He was pale as a ghost. A horrible scar at the corner of his mouth extended upwards as if it ran across his entire face. Even the shape of the scar was terrifying.
He looked like a clown doll whose face had been ripped off and re-stitched.
It took a while before the man responded, "No need." His voice was hoarse and dry. Obviously, his vocal cords were severely damaged.
"The meeting should be around the corner, anyway."
The way he said it, it seemed like he was talking to himself.
His eyes were deep, and the corners of his mouth curled up into a terrifying smile.
Then he ordered, "Come back."
The black car immediately started and drove away in the opposite direction.
Soon, Mitchel's cars stopped at the Foster family villa.
Mitchel still wrapped his arm around Raegan's waist, not wanting to let go. Although he was sitting calmly in the car, he felt infinite happiness having Raegan by his side.
âOkay, I'll be right back,â Raegan announced, breaking the silence.
She had been leaning on Mitchel's shoulder this whole time. She felt so comfortable that she fell asleep for a while. I was too caught off guard with him.
Hearing this, Mitchel put his arms around her waist tighter. He hugged her tighter and whispered, âYou said nine o'clock. "We still have five minutes."
Raegan was speechless. I was really counting every minute with her.
Mitchel stared at Raegan without blinking. His eyes were intense.
It was as if he couldn't get enough of looking at her.
Raegan's earlobes suddenly warmed and her heart began to beat faster. He couldn't help but ask, "Can you stop looking at me?"
âI like youâ¦â Mitchel reached out, cupped her pinkish face with his long, slender fingers, and traced the contours of her face.
Despite having heard his confession several times, Raegan still blushed at it. The tickling made his skin a little itchy.
She gently moved his hand away and said, âTake your hands away.â
When Raegan pulled away, Mitchel's fingers accidentally brushed her lips. He felt its softness and sweetness, which were very tempting. His eyes immediately darkened. He couldn't hold back any longer, so he lowered his head slightly and pressed his lips against hers.
He deliberately did not deepen the kiss. He just pressed his lips against hers gently. It was as if she was a precious treasure. His movements were intimate and full of tenderness and love.
Raegan moaned unconsciously. His face was as red as cherries. But before he could totally lose his last shred of sanity, he tried to push him away.
However, Mitchel suddenly lowered his head and nuzzled her neck, whispering, "Raegan, I can't live without you."
Raegan's pulse trembled and she was speechless. While she was trying to find an answer, he confessed: "Every time you ignore me, I don't feel like sleeping or eating. I feel like a dead man walking. So please don't leave me.
Mitchel's eyes were a little downcast and his words were full of worry. The thought that he couldn't win Raegan's heart despite his efforts terrified him deeply.
