Chapter 447

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

? ? ? ? ?

Abel nodded, turned around and walked out.

In the shed.

Just as Abel approached him, he heard some suggestive sounds.

When he entered, he saw Lauren lying on the ground like a log of wood.

Near Lauren, there was a dirty dark man with his pants down. At first glance, it was clear that he was a tough individual.

That dirty man angrily threw a blanket over Lauren's face and bellowed, “Smell that abomination yourself. "You are not worthy of living in a pigsty."

The dirty man paused for a moment and began to pull up his pants before continuing: “You stink like a rotting corpse. If I could find another woman, I wouldn't come within thirty meters of you!

"You should try to find out what the hell is wrong with you."

The dirty man shook his head and began to limp backwards while muttering, “Damn bitch. Every square inch of your body is disgusting. I can't believe how disgusting you are. You are nothing more than a ghost..."

Hearing this, Lauren, slightly trembling, turned around to face the dirty man. Hearing Lauren's movements, the dirty man turned and shouted, “Don't you dare lift that ugly face of yours, you rotten woman! Do you want to scare me to death?

As soon as the accusatory words were spoken, Lauren instinctively lowered her head, trying to make herself smaller as she silently absorbed the barrage of curses and insults.

There was no way he could fight back or attempt to defend himself, nor did he intend to. This roof over his head had been provided by this dirty man who made his living scavenging.

That may not seem like much, considering how much you had in the past.

But at that moment, it was a sanctuary for her. Without him, she would have nowhere to stay.

Lauren wanted to get treatment for her ailments, but she had nothing except the poor excuse for clothes she was wearing, and she had no means to get the money.

The scars he carried were not just physical reminders, but also emotional wounds that never seemed to heal and only got worse with time.

Only when the dirty, lame man left and silence reigned in the room for several minutes did Lauren dare to raise her head.

The evidence of his trauma was etched into his face. One side remained unscathed, while the other showed the horrible marks of severe burns.

The wound was a harsh reminder of the time she had been abandoned on the side of the road, her face brutally scraped against the unforgiving asphalt when a car accidentally ran over her, with chunks of skin torn off by the merciless drag. The agony he suffered was indescribable, a torment that pierced his soul.

Despite the anguishing torment, Lauren cautiously got up and tried to ask the driver of the car for compensation, but he refused and insisted on calling the police and completing the insurance paperwork.

Lauren was afraid that the police would discover her past misdeeds and arrest her, so she did the only thing she could think of at the time. Flee.

Since he was unable to get money from the driver, his injuries were left untreated. As time went by, the wounds turned into scabs and eventually healed until they became a rugged terrain of scars, horrible and unpleasant to look at.

Lauren had long since cut ties with her family, and soon after, she was stripped of her resources and connections. No matter how horrible the last few days had been, there was nothing she could do to change her fate except stay in limbo, waiting for death to find her.

But even so, the idea that that dirty, lame man could throw her out was laughable. Just thinking about it woke old Lauren, and a sinister light flickered in her eyes.

There was a creak and the door burst open.

Lauren had an unexpected guest. He barely had any scraps of cloth left on his body to cover his dignity, but he did not feel ashamed nor did he make any attempt to hide from this newcomer. Calmly, he raised his head and looked at the newcomer.

Before her stood a man dressed in dark clothing, his face partially hidden by a mask. His eyes were sharp and intense, like the gaze of an eagle.

"Do you want revenge?" The question was direct and to the point.

“Can you help me?” Lauren responded, matching the man's directness.

She didn't bother to ask the man's identity or his reason for helping her.

Her face and body were torn apart, and she was now nothing more than a shadow of herself. Could he resign himself to this fate and allow the person who had ruined his life to leave? Of course not.

However, no matter how desperate she was for revenge, her reality was a brutal slap in the face. For one thing, Mitchel was protected by a plethora of bodyguards. She couldn't come within a hundred miles of where he was. And to make matters worse, Raegan was also out of Lauren's reach.

In fact, Lauren wanted to get her pound of flesh, to make Mitchel and Raegan suffer for every ounce of horror she'd been through, but she couldn't do it alone.

For once, fate had taken pity on her and brought her an ally who wanted the same thing as her. What they might gain from the destruction of Mitchel mattered very little to him. All he cared about was watching Mitchel's world fall apart.

As soon as Abel heard Lauren's question, he knew he wouldn't have to persuade her to work with them.

As it was, Abel took out a wad of bills, threw it on the ground and ordered in an emotionless voice: -This is a good place to hide. Stay here and recover. When the time comes to act, you will be informed.

Then, Abel turned around and left.

"Wait!"

Abel stopped dead when he heard Lauren's voice. When he turned to look at her, she met his gaze without flinching. "Is there any poison capable of causing instant death?"

Abel, experienced in numerous assassination missions, instantly understood Lauren's intention. Lauren possessed the ferocity and venom necessary to carry out an act of terrible consequences in her final moments.

A few hours after Abel left, the dirty and lame man returned. He had spent the entire day rummaging through the trash, but the only thing he had to show for his efforts was a cart full of rubbish.

For once, Lauren cleaned herself up and even tidied up the place.
