Chapter 426
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Seeing the medicine on her toes, which Mitchel had applied, Raegan hesitated. He was thorough and attentive with her. But the soup I had prepared for him was... Maybe I was being a little unfair...
As Mitchel was about to take a sip, Raegan quickly said, âYou might want to think twice before drinking that.â
But even as those words escaped Raegan's lips, Mitchel had already finished it in one gulp.
Raegan watched as he set down the empty bowl. I was dumbfounded.
After finishing the soup, I had mixed in an entire jar of white pepper. It was supposed to be spicy and unpleasant to taste.
âAre you okay?â Raegan looked into his eyes, searching for any sign of discomfort.
Noticing his frown and silence, Raegan felt a wave of worry wash over her. âDidn't I warn you not to drink that?â
Just as she went to get him water, barefoot, he grabbed her wrist and gently pulled her close to him.
"The truth is that it's not bad," he commented.
"Hey?" Raegan could only grunt in surprise after a short, breathless pause. He vividly remembered pouring an entire jar of white pepper into the mixture. How was it possible that he was okay?
Mitchel, in a calm tone, offered: "Do you want to try it?"
"That?" Raegan, taken aback by his sudden change in conversation and about to continue asking, found herself abruptly pulled closer when Mitchel reached out, gently holding the back of her neck, and pressed his lips to hers.
At that moment, everything around him became silent. His firm grip, the way his lips explored the sweetness of hers, and his tongue created a whirlwind of sensations.
The kiss, sweet with a spicy touch, was an exotic emotion.
Raegan's eyes, wide and clear, showed her astonishment, forgetting to turn away. Her mind cleared of everything except the intensity of his kiss. Memories of their previous passionate encounters flooded his thoughtsâ¦
His cheeks turned a deep red. Everything he had said was true... Under his spell, he had let himself be carried too far...
Mitchel kissed Raegan, feeling the longing he had carried for so long, breathing in the scent of her hair that was so comforting.
âMmmâ¦â Raegan started to come back to reality, trying to say no, but instead, her voice sounded more like a sigh, which only encouraged Mitchel more.
Mitchel hugged her tightly, making it difficult for her to move or move away.
At first, his intention was to teach him a lesson. He was very sensitive to the smell of pepper, and he figured she must have put in a lot, maybe even a whole jar.
But as the kiss became more intense, his feelings took over. He found himself wanting to kiss her non-stop.
âBang!â Suddenly, the door burst open.
Matteo, his throat on fire from the soup, ran in to tell Mitchel not to try it. He thought Raegan hadn't realized she'd added too much white pepper. But after taking a big sip, he felt that it was more than just a little extra. It was as if a whole bottle had been poured into it.
Matteo did not expect to interrupt a moment of passion. Stunned, he opened his mouth but couldn't find the words, making only incoherent noises.
Mitchel looked coldly at Matteo, quickly covering Raegan's messy hair with a jacket lying next to the bed.
âWhy are you still here?â Mitchel frowned at Matteo, who seemed unusually slow to react today.
Matteo froze in place, wanting to leave but he hesitated. "Mr. Dixon, your neck..." he said, his voice shaking.
Raegan looked up and noticed that Mitchel's neck was bright red, like he was having a severe allergic reaction. He was left breathless. "Do you have a pepper allergy?"
Mitchel felt an uncomfortable itch on his neck.
Matteo quickly added: âIt's not just pepper. Mr. Dixon reacts badly to all types of peppercorns. I wouldn't have stopped if there wasn't a risk of a serious allergic reaction.
Seeing his neck turn red, Raegan felt a mixture of helplessness and guilt and began to cry. «I had no idea... I added a lot of pepper...».
Mitchel tried to calm her down by saying softly, âIt's okay. Don't worry".
Luckily, they were in a hospital.
The doctor immediately started antihistamine treatment.
Two hours later, the rash on Mitchel's neck was much better.
The doctor advised him: âAre you not aware of your allergies? You have to remember what you can eat and what you can't. âAllergies can be deadly if not taken seriously.â
Raegan hung her head, filled with immense guilt, truly ignorant. If I had known, I would never have played such a joke.
When the doctor left, Mitchel looked back at Raegan, who was now staring at her toes, a smile growing on her face. Then, she knew she was to blame. He hadn't gone through all that in vain.
Before Mitchel could say anything, Raegan offered a sincere apology: "I'm sorry."
Mitchel's eyes flashed with mischief as he drew out his words. «Come a little closer. "I haven't heard that."
Raegan was speechless. He moved closer and met her gaze.
"I'm sorry. I did it on purpose..."
Before she could finish, he easily tossed her onto the bed.
Mitchel examined his feet. There was no swelling, which was a good sign that there was no serious damage.
He gently pinched her cheek, a sign that he didn't want her to feel bad, and said, "I knew it, and I did it on purpose."
"That? Raegan was surprised and bewildered. "You knew it and you still went along with it?"
Mitchel explained sincerely, "If I hadn't played along with your joke, how would you have been happy?"
Raegan couldn't understand his reasoning.
Then Mitchel playfully pinched her waist and asked, "So how do you plan to make up for the trouble you've caused?"
Raegan immediately realized that there were ulterior motives behind Mitchel's kindness. And finally the time had come to settle the score.
Raegan pursed her lips and shifted her body uncomfortably. "What exactly do you want?"
