Chapter 359
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Cary threatened furiously: "If you scream again, I'll kill you!"
Inside the elevator, Darryl leaned against the wall nonchalantly with his hands in his pockets. He seemed indifferent. He had no interest in intervening in such a trivial matter.
Darryl remembered a previous incident in which he had intervened in a couple's fight. After injuring the man, the woman who initially sought his help turned on him and sued him. This cost him a year of ridicule from his friends.
Since then, he swore never to meddle in the affairs of others again.
At that moment, Cary was pulling Raegan towards a corner of the hallway. Raegan's pleas for help grew weaker.
The image of those tired eyes flickered briefly in Raegan's mind.
Then, in a fit of defiance, he dug his sharp nails into Cary's frantic wrist, tearing the flesh.
Cary winced and let go of her. Then he raised his hand to hit her. «Damn you! "Ah!"
On the edge of the abyss, Raegan drew strength from weakness.
Without hesitation, she grabbed his arm and bit him hard. His cry of pain echoed throughout the hallway.
Desperate to save herself, Raegan ran towards the elevator.
Just as the elevator doors closed, he summoned all the energy he had left and shouted, âDarryl! Save me.
Darryl saw a thin hand trying to stop the elevator doors.
Lazily, Darryl stuck out his foot and asked, "Who called me?"
The next second, Raegan threw herself into his arms, making him take a couple of steps back.
"Damn!" Darryl grumbled, visibly annoyed. He quickly tried to push her away, wanting to keep his distance. «I tell you, I have met countless women. I'm no longer easy to convince. âDon't try any tricks on me,â he warned.
Despite his reluctance, Raegan clung to him. Her thin, soft arms wrapped around him with all the strength she had left, fueled by her strong sense of escaping danger.
"Damn!" Darryl cursed under his breath, over and over again. He found himself blaming her seductive scent for his hesitation to push her away.
Then Raegan's perfume seemed familiar. Lifting her chin, her beautiful face emerged from beneath her disheveled hair.
Darryl's eyes widened in surprise. He asked quietly, âRaegan?â
Raegan's light fragrance intoxicated Darryl. He had never smelled such a scent on any other woman.
Unbeknownst to him, Raegan never wore perfume. The scent was naturally his.
Feeling uncomfortable, Darryl turned his head and muttered, âLet go of me. I'm suffocating..."
Just as the elevator doors were about to close, Cary charged at Raegan again. His eyes reddened, giving him a fierce look.
âGive it to me⦠Just give it to me!â
Cary's fierce gaze and strange behavior suggested something was wrong with him, Darryl, with a hand on Raegan's back, quickly straightened up. His tone was icy and haughty. "Try me."
Cary froze momentarily upon hearing this. Just when he was going to attack Darryl, he kicked him hard.
Bang! There was a loud noise.
The power of a grown man like Darryl far surpassed that of Raegan, who was under the influence of the drug.
Darryl dominated Cary effortlessly.
When the elevator doors finally closed, Darryl pressed the button for the ground floor. He thought about rushing Raegan to the hospital. Her unusual condition suggested she might be drugged.
Now it was just the two of them within the confines of the elevator.
In a way, Raegan trusted that Darryl wouldn't hurt her. After all, he wasn't interested in her and he knew she was part of the Foster family, so he wouldn't dare do anything.
As her fear faded, Raegan's thirst increased, and she felt her body burning from the effects of the drug. She felt so weak that she could only lean on Darryl for support.
Meanwhile, Darryl didn't know how to react. Their proximity was evident. With a beauty like Raegan nestled against his chest, he felt his composure slipping. Sweat ran profusely down his forehead as if he were being roasted.
Although Raegan kept her eyes open, she wasn't herself. His breathing became heavier and he felt like his body was on fire. The drug was taking effect and she was losing control.
Dazed, she pulled at the collar of her shirt and looked at Darryl. Her eyes filled with tears and her voice trembled as she pleaded, "Please take me to the hospital..."
The move was simple, but it had a profound effect on Darryl. He was so agitated that he wanted nothing more than to push Raegan away immediately in case she completely lost her composure.
Knowing that the effects of the drug were taking effect, Raegan managed to finish her sentence with effort.
"Shit!" Darryl swore under his breath, his eyes blazing. He wasn't the one who was high, and yet he felt like his entire body was engulfed in flames.
At that moment the elevator doors opened.
A gust of fresh air blew in and Darryl breathed a sigh of relief.
Being locked in the elevator with Raegan had been unbearable. I felt like I was going to lose control at any moment.
As Darryl was about to leave the elevator, a cold male voice stopped him. "Let go."
Darryl, taken aback, looked up to see Mitchel addressing him with a stern expression.
âMitchel?â Darryl was shocked.
Mitchel's eyes contained a complex mix of emotions, making his gaze unusually distant.
âRaeganâ¦â Darryl, clearing his throat, said, âIt looks like Miss Foster has been drugged. "I need to take her to a hospital."
Without knowing the nature of the relationship between Raegan and Mitchel, Darryl assumed that Mitchel preferred not to get involved. He offered: âIt's no trouble. "I will take her to the hospital myself."
