Chapter 312

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

? ? ? ? ?

For a moment, Nicole's mind went blank.

A torrent of anger, reluctance, and hatred surged within him.

He'd missed his chance, and Jarrod wouldn't give him another.

Tears came to her eyes and her shoulders shook.

Jarrod giggled. "As? "Too angry to cry?"

Tears filled Nicole's eyes, leaving her speechless. His shoulders trembled and his heart was consumed with hatred. He despised his own inability to end his life.

Jarrod's heart twisted at the sight of Nicole's tears.

How could she continually soften his hardened heart?

He had thought their relationship was based solely on hate.

But now, it seemed irrelevant whether he hated Nicole or not.

They were linked by a complex and unhealthy dynamic, a mixture of love and hate, too tangled to be classified. Neither love nor hate alone could define or resolve the intricate web of emotions they shared.

Amidst his tangled emotions, Jarrod's determination was clear.

He couldn't let Nicole go.

I reflect on Jamie's deceptions. If Jamie's stories were all lies, could Nicole's supposed imminent death from stomach cancer be true?

This thought made Jarrod panic.

Grabbing Nicole's face, his eyes a storm of emotions, Jarrod declared: "Nicole, we're at peace now, but I'm not going to let you go just yet. Understand my words.

It wasn't a request. It was something he had decided.

Aware of the revulsion his words might provoke in Nicole, Jarrod chose to be honest.

After all, she already hated him, right?

"Someday I will give you that chance," he said, alluding to the possibility that she would end her life.

Nicole, desperation evident in her voice, asked, "Jarrod, do you mean that only death could make me escape from you?"

"No, I won't let you die!" Jarrod snapped, his eyes shining. "If you think about dying, I will go after everyone who helped you!"

Nicole barely noticed his words. His fear was not death, but living a life filled with hate.

Jarrod warned, "Remember what I said."

However, Nicole remained silent, deep in thought.

At dawn, the sign of a new day, it was time to cremate Wesson's remains.

Mitchel and Raegan joined together to pay their last respects.

After the cremation, Nicole, in a voice barely above a whisper, revealed: "Jarrod, my father's last wish was for his ashes to be scattered at sea."

Hearing this, Jarrod frowned and looked at her. Despite his reservations, he was unable to object.

Before getting into the car, Nicole turned to Raegan. "Being your friend has been the best thing in my life."

Raegan's eyes immediately watered, tears cascading down her cheeks.

Clinging to Nicole's wrist, Raegan managed to say between sobs, "I'll be here, waiting for you."

With a nod to Raegan, Nicole entered Jarrod's car.

Jarrod had been keeping a close eye on Nicole for the past two days, making sure he was always close by.

Nicole noticed the untreated wound on Jarrod's arm, the flesh still visible under his sleeve.

Catching her gaze, Jarrod murmured, "I decided to let her." He was referring to the bite Nicole had left on him.

Nicole frowned, regretting her impulsive action. He never had any intention of leaving any mark on that man he considered vile.

Arriving at the seashore, Nicole solemnly scattered Wesson's ashes into the ocean.

By this time, her tears had dried.

His mind reviewed the recent turmoil. So many things had happened.

The forced role of lover, the beatings, the cancer diagnosis, the framing and imprisonment, and now, the loss of her father and dying mother.

It had only been a few months, but it seemed like an eternity.

Holding on until this moment had not been easy for Nicole.

Nicole wanted to praise herself: Well done, Nicole. "You have given everything."

As the funeral concluded, a gust of wind swept through the area.

Nicole's black hat, caught by the wind, flew off her head.

«My hat! My hat!" Nicole shouted.

Without thinking about her safety, she launched herself after him, but Jarrod quickly grabbed her around the waist.

"Have you gone crazy?" Jarrod rebuked her. «That area is dangerous! Haven't you seen the warning sign?

Nicole, overcome with emotion, cried. «That hat belonged to my father! "He gave it to me."

Jarrod's expression hardened. "Stay here."

He moved forward, stepping over the chain to retrieve the hat.

Just as he picked it up, Nicole's voice rang from behind.

"Jarrod Schultz!"

Jarrod turned around, his heart sinking at the sight.

Nicole had crossed the chain, standing dangerously on the edge of the cliff face.

Their brief journey was coming to an end at that moment.

However, he found solace in the idea that he would no longer have to endure his absurd and sad existence.

With tears in her eyes and a voice full of hate, Nicole declared: “Congratulations! You have won. "I'm going to commit suicide."

With those words and a resigned smile, he leaned backwards, falling off the cliff.

"No! "Nicole!" Jarrod's roar was filled with hysteria as he rushed towards the edge of the cliff.

The sea churned under a stormy sky, and Jarrod frantically scanned the turbulent waters for any sign of Nicole.
