Chapter 295
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
? ? ? ? ?
"What did you just pick up?" His gaze was predatory.
Just as Nicole was going to speak, Jarrod snatched the medicine bottle from her hand. He then forcibly removed the pills from her mouth.
Before she could respond, Jarrod turned around and walked away. Moments later, Nicole heard the unmistakable sound of the toilet flushing.
I had just thrown away all the pills.
Nicole's face drained of color.
He tried to stop him, but his legs buckled and pain took over his body with every step.
She felt completely crushed, her body in torment.
When Jarrod returned, he said disdainfully, "Don't take this crap anymore."
Nicole's frustration boiled. They were special painkillers, prescribed by his doctor, vital to controlling his pain.
How could Jarrod throw them away like that?
She wanted to lash out at him, but her weakness limited her to looks of hate.
"Jarrod, do you want me to die that bad?"
Jarrod, imposing, crouched down and warned: âStop talking about death.
No more contraceptives.
Conceptual? Nicole's jaw dropped. Did you think you were taking contraceptives? She didn't need them because her condition prevented her from getting pregnant.
With a bitter laugh, she revealed: âJarrod, they weren't birth control pills. They were chemo pills. I have stomach cancer.
I'm dying..."
The medicine that had saved his life had gone down the toilet, as if his only hope of life had been taken by Jarrod.
Under the unbearable pain, Nicole decided to stop lying and tell Jarrod the truth.
But his expression remained unchanged, even impatient.
"Anyway, I won't let you take any of these," Jarrod stated flatly, clearly thinking she was lying.
Nicole laughed. âSo, you still want me to get pregnant with your child?â
Jarrod responded nonchalantly, "I don't care if you're pregnant one day."
To him, a child seemed like the surest way to tie Nicole to him.
Jarrod had thought about that. Given Nicole's determined character, if her father recovered or had any complications during the operation, he could disappear without a trace.
After careful thought, she came to the conclusion that it was best to ensure her pregnancy.
âHa ha ha⦠Do you want me to give birth to your child out of wedlock?â Nicole smiled bitterly.
Jarrod's brow furrowed at her dismissive tone. «It is not outside of marriage. "He is our son."
Then he suggested, "You can raise our children and watch them grow."
Nicole was unable to control her expression because the pain had left her powerless.
Are you saying you want me to be your secret lover forever?
How low can you go, Jarrod?
Jarrod's gaze darkened. Would you prefer that I not marry Jamie?
Nicole's laughter suddenly sounded.
"Are you sure you'll do everything I ask?"
Nicole's face, naked and without makeup, radiated charm. Her smile shone like flowers in full bloom.
Jarrod's gaze intensified as he coldly replied, "I'll consider it."
For a brief moment, he considered offering to call off his engagement to Jamie if Nicole agreed to have a child with him.
However, his pride prevented him from revealing his true desires, leading him to this commitment.
Maybe if Nicole stopped resisting him, she could shed her tough exterior and open her heart to him.
«And if I asked you to end your own life, would you do it? Would you voluntarily go to hell?
Nicole's serious tone underscored the seriousness of her questions.
Jarrod's eyes darkened and his handsome face was covered with coldness.
"Do you really despise me that much?"
"Yes, I can't stand you."
The pain in Nicole's stomach was intense, prompting her to end the conversation quickly.
«Jarrod, maybe you and Jamie should travel to hell together. Maybe there you will find company in the afterlife.
This comment ignited Jarrod's fury. He leaned forward sharply, gripping Nicole's chin tightly. âWhat makes you think you can talk to me in that vicious tone?â
Vicious? Nicole found his accusation almost laughable. Howe ordered those two women to attack her at the detention center. Then, he even locked her in the villa to intimidate her. All of this must have something to do with Jamie. Jarrod must have supported Jamie the whole time.
In her eyes, it was Jamie and Jarrod who deserved to face damnation, not her.
She couldn't care less how Jarrod saw her. His opinion of her, whether he considered her cruel or not, had no weight in his heart.
In recent days, Jarrod had leveled numerous accusations against her.
She really didn't care at all.
«It seems that I am the villain of your story, right? Haven't you gotten used to it?
When Jarrod returned from abroad, Nicole's belief that kindness was a weakness was reinforced.
For her, it only opened the door to mistreatment by the unscrupulous.
Her memories of Jarrod were marred by his insults and disrespect towards her and her family. The fall of the Lawrence Group, his father's hospitalization, and all the calamities seemed to be related to Jarrod or Jamie.
