Chapter 239
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
? ? ? ? ?
"Hey, how can you be so cheeky?" the woman said jokingly. She was holding Mitchel's arm with a flirtatious smile on her face.
She was one of the Kingbel Club escorts. Before she and the other escorts entered the chamber tonight, their manager reminded them that the clients were all Ardlens bigwigs.
As soon as he entered the room, his eyes fell on Mitchel, who was in the center. He first caught her attention because he was the most handsome and had the strongest aura among the men there.
But Mitchel was so distant that none of the women dared approach him.
Even she thought it was a lost cause.
But, unexpectedly, luck was with her at the last moment. She was about to leave when Mitchel suddenly called her.
It was a great opportunity for her. How could he let them steal it?
The woman smiled sweetly and added, âHey, you know the unspoken rules, right? I had spent the night with this gentleman. "You can't just show up and take it away from me."
When the woman saw Raegan's innocent and pure face, she thought she was a college student looking for a sugar daddy.
He snorted coldly. Disdain filled her heart, thinking that those college girls today were no better than her.
A cold light flashed in Mitchel's eyes. He resisted the urge to pick Raegan up.
He hadn't used much force before, so he didn't know why he had fallen.
He stopped for a moment. His dark eyes were filled with unreadable meaning.
When Matteo saw the expression on Mitchel's face, he reached down and helped Raegan up.
Raegan didn't pretend like she couldn't get up on her own. But his legs were too numb to move. After all, he had been standing in the cold for hours.
Raegan stood up with Matteo's support, and wasted no time.
She looked at Mitchel and said anxiously: "I come to ask you for help for Nicole."
Nicole was Raegan's best friend. For Raegan, Nicole's well-being came before her pride. So he ignored the woman's taunts and hurriedly asked Mitchel for help.
"I'm busy," Mitchel refused coldly, leaving no room for negotiation.
Mitchel scoffed internally. He had overheard Matteo's phone conversation with Raegan that night. Matteo's insinuations were clear, so he waited in the office until three in the morning.
But what happened? Raegan didn't show up. And maybe I wouldn't be here now if Hector hadn't failed with Jarrod.
This showed that Raegan only thought about him when she had no one else to turn to. He got frustrated every time he thought about it.
Grumpily, Mitchel held the woman in his arms, turned around, and prepared to get into the car.
His indifference made Raegan's heart tighten as if a sharp knife was stabbing her chest.
But he couldn't give up. He couldn't bear the thought of seeing Nicole suffer. Thinking about it tormented her day and night.
He chased after Mitchel and begged in a hoarse voice, âMitchel, please. I need to see Jarrod. Please let me see him just this once.
Mitchel's eyes narrowed. He said mockingly, âWhy are you asking me for help? Who are you to me?
His words were more of a reminder to her. That day he told him that he would not interfere in his affairs again.
Raegan's face paled. Of course, he had not forgotten her words.
But he wasn't going to give up.
«Mitchel, I know you're angry. But it's not about me. And the situation is urgent. Nicole's life is in danger. I have no other option. I beg you. Pleaseâ¦"
Mitchel giggled lightly.
"AND? What does Nicole's situation have to do with me?
After saying this, he got into the car and ordered Matteo to drive.
Raegan stood for a moment. The temperature tonight was freezing, and the cold seemed to penetrate him to his bones. His heart froze equally.
Not being able to do anything to save Nicole was too much for Raegan.
Raegan slowly crouched down and hugged her knees tightly, not wanting the others to see how sad she was.
Fortunately, it was after one in the morning and there was no one outside the Kingbel Club.
In the car, Mitchel's dark face still looked sour.
Matteo looked at Mitchel in the rearview mirror. Seeing Mitchel's expression, he hesitated for a moment. Finally he asked, "Mr. Dixon, should we get a car for Miss Hayes?"
It was dark and cold, and Raegan was alone. It wasn't safe for her to be out at that time of night.
The woman Mitchel brought with him was slightly intoxicated and became somewhat presumptuous. He intervened: "Is your assistant becoming a prostitute?"
Mitchel's eyes turned cold instantly. He said in a deep voice: "Stop the car."
Without waiting for Mitchel to say another word, Matteo understood his intention and got out of the car, opening the door.
"Miss, please come out."
The woman refused to get out of the car. It was hard to meet a big shot like Mitchel. How could he let it go just like that?
She said sweetly, âWhat's wrong with your assistant? Isâ¦"
While speaking, he even approached Mitchel intentionally.
A trace of anger appeared on Mitchel's handsome face. His eyebrows furrowed tightly. He roared, âGet out!â
His voice sent a chill through the woman.
He was so startled that he lost his drunkenness a little. He immediately got out of the car.
Of course, his effort was not in vain. Before Matteo got back in the car, he paid him a few thousand dollars.
When Matteo sat back in the driver's seat, he started the car. But he didn't drive immediately. Instead, he looked at the back seat.
"Go back to her," Mitchel ordered.
Raegan's legs were numb from crouching for so long. But he had to get up. I knew I had to go back and keep thinking about a solution.
Suddenly, the black Bentley returned and stopped in front of her.
The car window slowly rolled down, revealing Mitchel's handsome but dark face.
âCome up,â he ordered coldly.
Raegan didn't hesitate. He hurriedly opened the car door to get in.
But since his legs were numb from so much time squatting, he accidentally tripped on the door frame.
âUhâ¦â Raegan growled softly and pursed her lips. He knelt at Mitchel's feet and grabbed onto his pants leg.
His posture, his confused expression and his pleading eyes gave him a pitiful and seductive appearance at the same time.
Mitchel's eyes narrowed slightly.
The atmosphere in the car immediately froze.
Raegan was so embarrassed that she quickly stood up. He sat down obediently and placed his hands on his lap.
As Matteo drove through the dark night, the car was deathly silent.
Mitchel didn't say a word. He looked tired. He rested his forehead on the palm of his hand and closed his eyes to rest.
Although anxious, Raegan did not disturb his rest, so he could only endure it in silence.
Finally, the car stopped. When Raegan looked out the window, she discovered that they were in front of her apartment building.
Mitchel didn't open his eyes. He ordered Matteo: "Take her upstairs."
Matteo nodded in response.
Raegan became even more anxious. She had waited because she believed he could help Nicole, not so he could take her home.
"Mitchel..."
Mitchel opened his eyes lazily and looked at her.
Thinking of the many rejections she had received tonight, Raegan said impulsively, "Would you like to come up for a cup of tea?"
Mitchel did not refuse, so the two went up together.
As soon as they entered the living room, Mitchel sat down on the couch, lazily leaned back and crossed his legs. He rolled up his sleeves, exposing the well-defined muscles of his arms, and closed his eyes.
Raegan didn't make tea. Instead, he went to the kitchen and made some soup to sober him up.
Then he brought a bowl into the living room, put it on the small table and said in a low voice: âMitchel, I made soup for you. âTake some to ease your hangover.â
There were no chairs next to the couch, so Raegan stood there.
She had already taken off her coat, and was now wearing a white cotton sweater and blue jeans, which accentuated her beautiful curves.
She wasn't wearing a revealing outfit. But looking at her, Mitchel's throat went dry for a few seconds.
His eyes narrowed slightly. He reached out and picked up the bowl and drank a spoonful of soup.
The hot liquid warmed his stomach and his furrowed eyebrows relaxed a lot.
Raegan noticed the change in Mitchel's expression. She thought he was in a better mood now, so she said cautiously, "Can you help me make an appointment with Jarrod?"
Although Mitchel already knew her intention, he couldn't help but feel annoyed to hear her speak so abruptly.
He pursed his lips, grabbed his coat and stood up.
When Raegan saw that he was about to leave, she grabbed his arm and asked anxiously, "Are you leaving?"
Mitchel looked at her indifferently.
"I've already finished the soup."
"But... about Jarrod..." Raegan stuttered.
Mitchel's eyebrows furrowed tightly. He interrupted: "Do you want me to help you just because you gave me a bowl of soup?"
Raegan pursed her lips.
"No. I don't say it with that intention. YO "
Before he could finish his words, Mitchel nonchalantly took out a pile of money from his pocket, slammed it on the small table, and said coldly, "I'll pay for it."
Raegan was stunned for a moment. He turned pale and his eyes filled with tears.
Seeing her like this, Mitchel's heart was overwhelmed with frustration and annoyance.
He didn't want to stay any longer, so he turned around and headed towards the door.
Raegan caught up to him. This time she could no longer hold back her tears: âMitchel, please help me. "Now I'm really desperate."
The next moment, Mitchel pulled her tightly and pressed her against the door.
Then, he lowered his head and conquered her lips. They shared a passionate kiss.
Mitchel's eyes turned red. It was as if he had been suppressing his desire for a long time. Their kiss became intense and fierce.
Raegan's legs gave out and she struggled to keep her balance.
Mitchel noticed this and it pushed him to become more aggressive. He put his hand under her sweater, removing the strap of her bra, and squeezed her breasts.
Raegan jolted at the exhilarating sensation. His face paled even more. He pushed Mitchel hard, creating some distance between them.
Mitchel did not insist. Instead, he said mockingly, "Didn't you invite me here to sleep with you?"
Raegan frantically fixed her bra strap. He was shaking with rage.
"When did I say that I would like to sleep with you?"
The expression on her face now reflected the defiance she had shown earlier when she confronted him about Henley.
When Mitchel remembered this, the anger in his heart flared up again.
Don't you understand the implications of inviting a man over in the middle of the night? Raegan, stop acting innocent.
