Chapter 1598

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1598:

? ? ? ? ?

Austin harbored apprehension, recognizing the futility of his words to alter their dynamic, choosing silence as his recourse. The fewer words, I believed, the better. The housekeeper had observed Austin's prolonged periods of speechlessness, a worrying sign.

Mitchel could see from Jarrod's expression that his words had struck a chord.

As a father, Mitchel began to see things from a child's perspective. "Jarrod, refrain from actions that may cause regret," Mitchel advised, concerned for his friend's well-being.

As a close friend, Mitchel was determined to steer Jarrod away from a destructive path. Not only could it result in the loss of the woman he cherished, but it would also strain his relationship with his son. In the end, Jarrod would be left to face a lonely existence, dealing with the loneliness of old age.

Having found satisfaction himself, Mitchel appreciated his oddity and wished the same for his friend.

Luis, who had been listening intently, chuckled. “Mitchel, you’ve become a life coach.”

Ignoring Luis's joke, Mitchel took a sip of his juice. As a single man, Luis couldn't understand his joy. Luis gently placed his hand on Jarrod's shoulder, conveying a sense of brotherhood.

«Brother, while I may not possess a wealth of advice, Mitchel's happy family speaks volumes. Witnessing his tireless pursuit of Raegan's recovery, even at the brink of danger, resonated deeply. His perseverance prevailed, thankfully. And you…”

Luis sighed deeply. “If your feelings for Nicole persist, refrain from pushing her away. I understand your stubborn nature, but perpetually putting on a tough facade is unsustainable. Women usually respond to gentle persuasion, don't they? You persist in your rigidity, rescuing the damsel in distress time and time again, but why does it never yield favorable results? Your words and suspicions constantly undermine any potential success.”

Jarrod fell into introspection. Luis and Mitchel's ideas had merit. Despite their earnest efforts each time, the results consistently led to deterioration rather than fostering closeness, driving them further apart.

Before the meeting, Luis and Mitchel had agreed to have a heart-to-heart with the stubborn Jarrod. It was clear to everyone that Jarrod had not moved on, but he invariably found a way to escalate the situation.

Luis expressed his exasperation to Jarrod. “Brother, as I’ve mentioned, women responded to gentle persuasion. Making Roscoe suffer won't help. It will only breed resentment and further alienate Nicole. Even though your feelings for her have changed, for the sake of your son, you must maintain a peaceful relationship with her. Don’t subject your son to emotional harm that you will regret.”

Both Luis and Mitchel had made a heartfelt speech, not knowing if Jarrod had absorbed any of their advice. After all, advice was just words. Action was another matter.

Mitchel summed up by saying, “I am willing to support Roscoe, not only because his goals coincide with my company's this year, but also to prevent you from making any more mistakes. If Roscoe suffers from his family's problems and ends up in jail, I doubt Nicole will ever forgive you. Think carefully and avoid actions you will regret.”

When he came to friendship, Mitchel was always there for his friends. Seeing that Jarrod was having problems with his feelings, he wanted to offer him help. But that was its limit. He had played his part. Jarrod would have to undertake the journey on his own.

After the meeting, everyone dispersed. Luis chose to stay at the bar, while Mitchel headed straight home.

Once home, Mitchel headed to the guest bathroom to wash away the lingering smell of the bar. After showering, Mitchel visited the children's room, where he was overcome with a deep sense of satisfaction as he looked at his babies sleeping peacefully. He tenderly kissed their cheeks.

Then he went back to the master bedroom. Raegan lay asleep in bed, with her daughter Janey curled up beside her like a kitten.
