Chapter 1533

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1533:

Emerie, seeing the chaos, ordered: “No speaking out of turn. Carry on!”

Despite his anger, the boss quickly turned the situation around by proclaiming to those below: “This is a divine sign. It shows that humans must not stand still. “They must kneel and grove before us.”

The assembly took their words at face value, bowed their heads, and gathered again to continue the ritual by the fire.

It was then that the chief, with a fierce look, stomped on the fallen Roscoe's head. "Do you want to die so badly? How shameless to release my sacrifice! You must want to die. The ritual cannot be cancelled. Today I will make you suffer in front of everyone, let the flames engulf you and show you the true horrors of hell."

The boss leaned in, his voice venomous. “Trust me, the agony you’re about to feel will make hell seem merciful.”

Roscoe's face was ghostly. He was offered no food or water for three whole days. Yet he did not shrink from the chief's threats. He replied coldly, "Have you ever endured such pain?"

The chief paused, surprised by Roscoe's defiance. Despite his long history of bloodshed, he had never encountered such audacity.

With a hint of pride, he declared, “Do you think I am like you commoners? “I am a 160-year-old holy spirit, I have seen countless of you consumed by flames.”

Roscoe scoffed. “Spirit? You're delusional. I've discovered that your so-called witch clan only possesses genetic advantages, such as a longer lifespan. “This rejuvenation of the Spirit is a fabrication to fool your followers.”

The boss's expression darkened. "What nonsense are you spouting?"

Roscoe scoffed: “The truth, which you know very well. Have your repeated lies convinced you of them?”

"You know nothing, young man! You can't fool me," she replied.

"You know very well I'm deceiving you," Roscoe replied coldly.

“Didn't you say that Emerie is eighty years old? She is your living advertisement, with the supposed claim of maintaining her beauty even at eighty years old, attracting many witches. You also claimed that the rightful boss suffered an unfortunate accident the same year you took over, correct?”

"That's the truth," the boss insisted.

“Interesting. Emerie is only twenty-two this year, which explains her youth.” Roscoe revealed his secret. He continued, “You hypnotized her as a child, making her believe she was seventy years old, and she grew up believing it. When her appearance inevitably ages, you will secretly dispose of her, claiming that she ascended to the Holy Void to become a Spirit.”
