Chapter 1528

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1528:

? ? ? ? ?

Using his knowledge of the mountains, the old man managed to escape. From that moment on, he made sure to stay away from the Valley of the Witches. He was convinced that the witches' witchcraft was responsible for the village's disappearance.

One day while hunting, the old man saw a witch dressed in red. His heart sank. How could these people come to his mountain, so far from their own? His main concern was the boy. I have hurried home, where I have found chaos and untouched food.

The old man hurried to follow his son's trail to the Valley of the Witches. Outnumbered, he waited until night to sneak in. All he found was his son's clothes in a dirt pit.

At that moment, he was consumed by despair. He longed for the witches to return his son to him, but, exhausted, he dreamed.

In the dream, his sweet, well-behaved son was crying, begging him to leave immediately and live a good life.

Perhaps fortune was on his side, and the old man rolled into some bushes in his sleep and eluded the witches' warning. Realizing that there was no hope left, I returned home alone.

However, the pain in his heart persisted. Now, seeing Nicole's determination to save his friend, he was reminded of his own inaction in the past. If a young woman could show such bravery, what did he, an old man about to die, have to lose?

After hearing the old man's story, Nicole felt empathy, but needed to convey the harsh reality. "Sir, your son may no longer be here."

The old man agreed, tears in his eyes. “I know, but I still have to bring him back. That stubborn boy always hunted everywhere, not coming back until I called him. This time should be no different… This time, I must call my stubborn boy back home…”

The old man's voice was heavy with grief and age. Nicole found it impossible to deny him and replied, "Okay, let's take him back home."

The older man gathered his belongings, grabbed some dry food, and came out with a hunting rifle. He asked Nicole, “Young lady, do you know how to use this?”

Nicole agreed. She had learned from Roscoe in the village, although she was not particularly skilled. She confessed, “I know how to use it, but I haven't had much practice.”

“Don't worry. As long as you’ve handled it before,” the old man said confidently. “This time we're facing a serious threat. “We have to be prepared to defend ourselves.”

Despite her age and having less to lose, the older man thought Nicole was too young to face such danger. So he brought a large bucket and announced, “Let’s go.”

Nicole looked at the bulky bucket and asked, “Sir, what’s inside?” Isn’t it too heavy?”

The older man shook his head. “It doesn't weigh anything. It’s full of good things.”
