Chapter 1504

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1504:

? ? ? ? ?

Her father cherished her mother and treated her tenderly, creating a nurturing home. Growing up, Nicole was vibrant and cheerful, and she often heard praise for her parents' warm relationship.

However, despite their deep connection, fate cruelly separated them: one mysteriously ended his life and the other remained alive but unconscious. These memories made Jarrod's refreshing breeze feel almost bitter. Nicole abruptly pulled her hand away.

“It's okay now. It doesn’t hurt anymore,” he said, his voice distant.

Jarrod didn't insist. Standing abruptly, Nicole went to get the hangover soup. When she returned, she handed it to Jarrod. "Drink this. It's hot."

Jarrod examined the dark soup and asked, “Did you make this?”

“No,” Nicole replied, shaking her head. “The housekeeper did it. “I just supervised at the end.”

"I'm not drunk," Jarrod said suddenly.

“Even if you aren't, it's beneficial. “It contains medicinal herbs,” Nicole urged gently.

Without another word, Jarrod quickly downed his soup. Seeing the empty bowl, Nicole’s features softened slightly. “I’ll rinse this out,” she offered, taking the bowl.

“Wait,” Jarrod interrupted.

Nicole tensed and paused as she turned around, struggling to maintain her composure. “What's wrong?”

“Give me the bowl,” Jarrod came over and said.

Nicole gripped the bowl tighter, asking, “Why?”

“Why what?” Jarrod frowned. “Your hand is burned. You shouldn’t get it wet.”

Hesitantly, Nicole replied, “I’m fine.”

However, Jarrod had already picked up the bowl and headed to the sink, washing it himself. After drying his hands, he suggested, “Let’s go to bed.” Jarrod half-hugged Nicole, leading her back to the bedroom.

As she lay down on the bed, Nicole tensed as he approached. Understanding her discomfort, especially after her visit to her mother, Jarrod knew she might reject his touch. I patted her arm gently. "Relax. “I won’t touch you tonight.”

Surprised by his unusual thoughtfulness, Nicole remained tense, her eyes closed. Finally, feeling no more movement from him, her breathing calmed and she fell into a deep, restful sleep. Exhausted from the day's events, she fell into a deep, restful sleep.

Beside her, Jarrod watched her intently, resting his chin on his hand. After a while, he silently got up and retreated to the bathroom to take a cold shower.

As he got back into bed, his phone lit up. A text from Alec read, “Sir, do not eat or drink anything that woman gives you.” Jarrod’s expression remained unreadable as I deleted the message. I lay back down next to Nicole.
