Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1497:

Jarrod had decided to send Doreen abroad not only for her education but also to gain insight into Watts family affairs. Doreen's continued presence at home could complicate matters. After all, she was still linked to the Watts family by marriage.
Jarrod sensed that something sinister was brewing within the Watts family. Sending Doreen away was partly to protect her from harm.
These were complexities he had not divulged to Hallie. Hallie might inadvertently reveal something critical. His lack of discretion could jeopardize his position.
Glancing at his phone, Jarrod remembered his original assignment. I have dialed Nicoleâs number. The phone's screen read âHoney,â a change he had made just after they had obtained their marriage certificate. The phone rang several times, but he didn't answer.
Jarrod frowned and tried to call again, but his phone was off.
Annoyed, Jarrod pressed the intercom and told Alec, "Go to the hospital and check if my wife is still there."
âRight away, sir,â Alec replied promptly.
Meanwhile, Hallie was furious after Jarrod abruptly ended the call. She couldn't understand the overwhelming influence Jarrod's wife seemed to exert over him. For Nicole's sake, Jarrod seemed willing to put his own family aside.
Hallie quickly made a call: âFind out where that woman Nicole is.â
Over the years, Hallie had cultivated a network in Ardleng, using her wealth to gather information and exert influence. Her eyes glittered with malicious intent. She was determined to confront Nicole, who had disrupted her daughter's life.
At the hospital, Jamie was still receiving emergency treatment. Nicole remained outside the room, lost in her thoughts about her previous encounter with Roscoe.
Moments earlier, Nicole had shyly asked Roscoe, âAre you okay?â
Roscoe had responded with chilling indifference: âWho are you? Do I know you?â
His icy response had caught Nicole off guard. She then remembered that he was still suffering from memory loss and that he no longer recognized her. To him, she was a stranger.
Nicole was about to leave when Roscoe suddenly grabbed his head, winning in pain.
âAre you okay? âWhatâs wrong, Roscoe?â Nicole asked, coming over to help him.
Unexpectedly, Roscoe pushed her hard, causing her to stumble and fall. His expression turned into one of fury, his eyes bloodshot, a terrifying sight.
Seeing his distress, Nicole sensed that his condition was more than just an relief. It was something deeply alarming. Panicking, she screamed for help: âDoctor! Doctor! âSomeone help me, please.â
As Nicole ran for help, a woman collided with her, nearly causing another fall.
