Chapter 1468

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1468:

? ? ? ? ?

“So what?” Nicole replied, her voice dripping with indifference. It was nothing out of the ordinary.

Vicki couldn't help but laugh bitterly. “I knew it. You're using him. You don't really love him. Why are you doing this?”

“You broke us up, and yet you don't love him at all. Do you know that Jarrod chose a vasectomy for Austin? He told me that if I married him, I would never have children. That's why I had to act quickly…” Vicki stopped abruptly, realizing that she was about to confess her own plot to kill Austin.

But whether he confessed or not, Nicole was already aware of his involvement.

Vicki intended to discuss the immense sacrifice Jarrod had made and how he was being exploited by Nicole who did not love him.

He guessed that such a realization must be crushing Jarrod. So, Jarrod couldn't allow Nicole to continue her reckless behavior, right?

“You're right,” Nicole raised her eyebrows and said, “I'm using him. So what?”

Vicki hadn't expected Nicole to confess so easily, thinking that Nicole hadn't yet noticed Jarrod's arrival.

Vicki gritted her teeth. “Don't be so conceited. Without him, you're nothing.”

If Jarrod decided to side with the Hampton family, Nicole wouldn't stand a chance against them. They would make sure she disappeared without a trace.

“Whether you're here or not, I'll do what I want. “I’m here to make sure people like you don’t have any fun.” Nicole's voice was defiant, loud enough for anyone nearby to hear.

Vicki laughed mockingly, turning to where Jarrod was standing, and shouted, “Jarrod, you heard that, right? She's using you. She admitted it herself. Are you blind? You gave her your heart and she's trampling on it. I would lose all respect for you if you let her manipulate you like that…”

Vicki expected these words to unsettle Nicole, for panic or fear to show on her face.

But there was nothing. Nicole remained incredibly calm, not even bothering to look at Jarrod.

That was the big difference between love and the absence of it. When you didn't love someone, their opinions or reactions to certain revelations didn't affect you. You could say things just to be heard.

Nicole looked at Vicki with a mocking smile, then leaned in and whispered, "Vicki, do you really think Jarrod doesn't know?"

“What… What do you mean?” Vicki's voice trembled.

“Do you really think he’s not aware that I have a backup?” Nicole's lips curved into a seductive smile. “He's long since chosen me over the Hampton family, and he's also stopped caring about the Schultz Group. Can’t you see how pathetic you are?”
