Chapter 1444

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1444:

They started in the kitchen, where the nanny usually prepared her meals and medicines, but found nothing. The area was spotless, clear of any clues.

Desperate for answers, Nicole considered questioning the nanny directly. However, upon finding the bodyguard at the door, she was informed that the nanny had only managed to answer a few questions before collapsing.

When police arrived to take the nanny away for further questioning, she was left wondering what kind of drug she had been given.

At that moment, Austin stepped forward and said, “Mom, I took a picture of the drug package. “Now we should be able to identify the drug.”

Nicole’s expression lit up with a mix of relief and pride. Filled with gratitude, she leaned over and planted a tender kiss on Austin's cheek. “Austin, you are incredibly smart! “You’ve been a great help,” she exclaimed, her voice tinged with emotion.

Austin lowered his head, looking a little shy. I have noticed a noticeable change in Nicole's demeanor. She seemed warmer and more approachable than before. I found this version of her much more endearing.

Austin grabbed Nicole's hand firmly and gathered his courage to speak. "Mom, are you mad at me for listening to that mean woman?"

Nicole gently stroked her little face and smiled reassuringly. “Austin, I would never think that. You are incredibly smart at protecting yourself. “Mom is so proud of you.”

Austin felt a wave of relief wash over him. He feared his mother might resent him for his shortcomings.

Nicole inserted Austin's whistle memory card into the computer and discovered that it had a considerable storage capacity. Austin had taken numerous photos, each with a time stamp, providing concrete evidence that the babysitter had drugged him.

However, proving Vicki's involvement from these photos alone would be a challenge. With no audio on the footage and no appearance of Vicki alongside the nanny, it was difficult to establish her connection to the incident.

The most reliable method would be for the malicious nanny to confess that Vicki had instructed her. But convincing the nanny to turn against Vicki seemed daunting.

For the moment, Nicole's priority was to quickly rescue the nanny. She left these thoughts for later.

After locating the desired photo, he made a copy of the file and sent it to Jarrod's phone.

The reply came almost instantly. “Understood.”

The next moment, a notification pinged, signaling the arrival of a photo from Jarrod. It showed Kamilah lying on an emergency bed. “She is now in the hospital,” Jarrod’s message accompanying the image read.
