Chapter 1430

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1430:

? ? ? ? ?

"But I'll see him today," Nicole insisted.

“How funny. What makes you think you can?” Vicki replied, clearly in disbelief.

Vicki was baffled by Nicole's nerve. Did she think she could just walk in and see her son?

In Vicki's eyes, Nicole's statement was far from reality.

Nicole calmly replied, “Because I’m his mother.”

Vicki scoffed. “What kind of mother are you? Do you really think Austin recognizes you as his mother? Now listen to everything I say to him.”

At Vicki's words, a chill ran through Nicole, her concern for Vicki's influence on Austin gnawing at her.

With Kamilah recently on sick leave, Nicole had lost contact with Austin and was unaware of his current condition.

However, she clung to the belief that Austin would not walk away from her. After all, he was her own son and she understood him deeply.

“Vicki, your overconfidence could be your downfall,” Nicole retorts.

Vicki laughed triumphantly, gracefully tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

“Overconfidence or not, Jarrod is well aware of the situation. Under my care, Austin now calls Jarrod 'Dad'. What could you possibly offer him? Your presence might poison his mind with your resentment,” Vicki sneered.

Nicole's eyes snapped open. How could she have ignored such a significant change?

Was it possible that Austin had begun to see Jarrod as his father? I have pondered this new and alarming information.

Nicole had never stopped Austin from referring to Jarrod as "Dad," nor had she planted seeds of hatred toward Jarrod in Austin's mind.

The discord between her and Jarrod was her business, and she was determined to keep Austin away from any negative consequences.

Nicole knew well that Austin deeply missed a father figure.

Through conversations with Kamilah, she understood why Austin was initially resistant to Jarrod's presence, clearly reluctant to call him "Dad."

Nicole, however, was in no mood for pointless arguments with Vicki right now. His main concern was to know how Austin was doing.

"Just yesterday you threatened to kill my son," Nicole said.

"There's no need to pretend you care right now. It's insincere and unnecessary."

Vicki seemed visibly nervous, realizing that she was facing a completely different situation than the night before.

Jarrod's residence was under constant surveillance, which left him no room for the same level of comfort he enjoyed elsewhere.

Aware of the cameras and informants scattered throughout the property, Vicki knew she had to tread carefully.

Trying to maintain her composure, Vicki retorts, “What are you implying?” I take care of Austin like he's my own son. Don’t try to accuse me falsely.”

Nicole scoffed at Vicki's feeble attempt to deflect blame and proceeded to enter Jarrod's house without dignifying her response with further recognition.

“Hey, stop!” Vicki insisted, unwilling to let Nicole pass without further confrontation.

Ignoring Vicki's protests, Nicole continued walking until she reached the access control panel. With a decisive press, the electric door slid smoothly open.
