Chapter 1422
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1422:

After a long silence, any hope Jarrod had harbored vanished completely. Suddenly he chuckled and said, âDisgust is better than never seeing you again for the rest of my life.â
Nicole didn't understand what he meant.
Jarrod explained to her: âIf you leave this car today, I will take every measure to confront the Watts family. Are you willing to abandon that man?â
His eyes were filled with contempt as he coldly stated, âI will torture you to death!â
âHow dare you!â Nicole quickly turned her head, her hand white with tension.
âIâm sure you know thatâs within my capabilities,â Jarrod said calmly.
"And you should also know that the Hampton family has already discovered your actions yesterday. Without my protection, do you think Vicki and Lowe will spare your life?"
Jarrod seemed to have a knack for determining exactly what Nicole would manipulate. âIf you end our agreement now, you must understand that it will not only be you who will be in danger. Those close to you, including Jemma, will also suffer the consequences,â he continued.
Jarrod was right. As soon as Nicole got out of the car, Vicki would make her pay once she found out about her actions. Jemma would definitely be the first target.
Nicole was not alone. Jemma was with her and had been a great help.
He couldn't just ignore Jemma's assurance and leave without a care.
Jarrod looked down at Nicole and gave her a firm look. âNicole, the choice is yours. âYou know what the right decision is.â
Once their true intentions were exposed to each other, what was left was a battle to see whose tactics were more ruthless.
Clearly, Jarrod had decided not to let Nicole leave his side so easily. He was determined to exert control and ensure that she remained by his side, regardless of the consequences or ethical considerations.
Ultimately, Nicole had to make a decision. She couldn't risk Roscoe's well-being, especially after realizing that his condition had deteriorated considerably that day.
If Jarrod could offer protection to Roscoe, at least the Watts family couldn't do anything to him.
With a heavy heart, Nicole closed the car door and sat back down, her complexion ghostly pale. âJarrod, you must keep your promise,â she said firmly.
Jarrod's expression softened slightly, he leaned towards her, gently caressed her face and planted a kiss on her cheek. âOf course,â he replied.
Nicole wasn't used to being so close. Her initial instinct was to pull away, but Jarrod held her face firmly, preventing her from escaping.
He kissed her lips hard and said, âYou'll have to get used to this. Awkwardness is no excuse. âI didnât marry a statue.â
Hearing this, Nicole stopped struggling and her body became passive, doll-like. At this point, arguing with him seemed pointless.
She had no desire to maintain a facade of propriety and play the role of victim. Having decided to make this exchange, she had to accept all the indignities that came with it. As Jarrod had pointed out, she had to not only harden, but also adapt.
Soon the car arrived at the town hall.
Stepping out of the car, Jarrod gripped Nicole's hand tightly, intertwining his fingers with hers as if they were a devoted couple.
Unable to break free, Nicole let him lead her. Her expression was blank as she said, âJarrod, I don't have any ID on me.â
"I've already taken care of everything," Jarrod said.
