Chapter 1401

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1401:

? ? ? ? ?

Jemma, caught in the middle, paled at the suddenness. She found herself caught between Jarrod's icy demeanor behind her and Nicole's fiery charge in front.

Jemma's mind was spinning with confusion. What... what was going on?

Alec stopped, in disbelief. What the hell was going on?

Nicole, forced to drink the spiked drink, looked tormented, as if she were on fire. Her mouth was dry and she clung desperately to Jarrod's lips as if they were a life preserver in the desert.

Nicole kissed Jarrod fiercely, a wild echo of their college days flashing between them.

Nicole's passion was raw and undeniable, a stark contrast to the often shy or refined demeanor of other women. She was forthright and mesmerizing, like a siren that Jarrod drew in.

Jarrod had always been drawn to Nicole's vibrant energy.

“Cherry… Cherry…” Jemma hesitated before saying, “Oh, please don’t bother Mr. Schultz anymore… What’s wrong with you?”

His question seemed redundant since the reason was obvious. Nicole seemed to have consumed some adulterated drink.

Clearly, this was Lowe's doing. He was known for his shady tactics and lack of morals.

With considerable effort, Jemma tried to push Nicole away.

“Bang!” Alec threw Lowe to the ground and rushed to his aid.

“Ouch! Ouch!” Lowe groaned, the fall snapping him back to consciousness. He had only been drinking at home that night, not at the club.

The alcohol left Lowe reeling, and the physical alteration only worsened his nausea, threatening to vomit his dinner. Blood stained his face and he couldn't tell if it was his own or Nicole's.

Only then did Lowe realize that he shouldn't have trusted the words of that bitch, Vicki. He bitterly regretted having trusted her.

She swore to make Vicki pay for it, but now was not the time. Jarrod was already furious and she didn't dare provoke him further. Jarrod was more fearsome than any demon.

Lying on the ground, his vision blurred, Lowe was unaware of the events unfolding behind him.

Meanwhile, Alec held Jarrod and Jemma struggled to push Nicole away.

Alec watched, bewildered by Nicole's behavior, which was clearly not an act of sobriety.

The whole scene was bewildering. It was like a strange event that happens once every thousand years.

Alec still couldn't understand what he had just witnessed. Why hadn't Jarrod pushed Nicole away? Did he just let her kiss him? That wasn't typical Jarrod behavior.

Jemma, dragging Nicole to her side, turned to Jarrod with an apologetic look and said, “Mr. Schultz, I am truly sorry. Cherry lost control and disrespected you. I apologize on your behalf. When she is sovereign, I will make sure she apologizes personally. Please don't take it personally. After all, she is not herself right now.”

Jarrod remained silent, his lips purple from a trace of red from Nicole's fervent kiss, adding an involuntary charm to his already mysterious demeanor.

Alec intervened abruptly, “You should go now. An apology? Mr. Schultz doesn't want to see her. Take her away quickly.”

With a tight smile, Jemma replied, “Okay, I’m off.”
