Chapter 1388

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1388:

? ? ? ? ?

Driven to further cruelty by Nicole's lack of reaction, Doreen slapped her twice. Unsatisfied, she picked up a bottle, intending to hit Nicole's head with it.

But Vicki intervened just in time, grabbing Doreen's wrist. "Doreen, didn't I tell you? She can't show any visible wounds. It would look bad on you."

Doreen and Vicki weren't worried about Nicole's well-being, but about how it might tarnish their reputation as debutantes.

Doreen reluctantly let go of the bottle, which fell to the floor.

Vicki had made it clear to Doreen that she should not kill Nicole as long as humiliating and tormenting her without visible injuries was an option. Otherwise, they would look bad.

But Doreen was seeing things with resentment. Right now, all she wanted was to end Nicole's life. At their wedding, Nicole had humiliated her and made her a laughing stock. She had thought that marrying Roscoe would solve everything.

However, Roscoe wouldn't even let Doreen touch him. Every time Doreen came near, he became visibly upset, and even tried to strangle her once.

Doreen couldn't shake off Roscoe's hidden gaze, which reminded her of a zombie from a movie. He looked more like a shell of a person, acting erratically. She found Roscoe eerie and terrifying. It seemed that only a woman skilled in witchcraft could control her wild emotions.

Doreen no longer dared to be in the same room with him. Her resentment towards Nicole ran deep. If it weren't for Nicole, they wouldn't have resorted to such drastic measures just to control Roscoe.

However, without these extreme measures, Doreen knew that Roscoe would never have married her. Ultimately, all her efforts to make Roscoe fall in love with her were totally fruitless.

Doreen couldn't accept it and felt like she was about to explode with rage. She Nicole pushed her head down, pulled her hair and shoved her head into a rubbish bin.

Nicole's scalp went numb, losing feeling.

Doreen's fury didn't subside. Instead, it grew even more, pulling a garbage bag over Nicole's head and squeezing it until Nicole struggled to breathe. “You bitch! How dare you steal my man from me? Jarrod has left you and Roscoe is mine. No one is going to save you now. “It’s over for you.”

Doreen opened and closed the garbage bag as if it were a playful act.

Nicole felt like she was suffocating, teetering on the edge of death. She felt like a broken toy, tormented mercilessly by Doreen.

It was clear that Doreen intended to kill her.

Nicole placed her palms flat on the ground, her vision obscured by the garbage bag. She used her hands to prop her head up so she could catch her breath briefly.

Nicole found it strange that Vicki hadn't attacked her yet. She had prepared herself for Vicki's possible attack to unleash anger just like Doreen had. However, Vicki just lay down on the couch.

Nicole frowned. If Vicki remained determined not to attack her, her order tonight would be pointless. Knowing Vicki all too well, she had taken an extra precaution by secretly installing a camera in this chamber.

Nicole knew this place better than Vicki and Doreen, and she knew exactly how to hide the camera so that it would go unnoticed. If Vicki attacked her, the footage would serve as proof that Vicki was unfit to be a mother.

As disappointment set in, Nicole heard a cell phone ringing.

Vicki stood up, as if she needed to make a call outside.

I came back in two minutes.

The sound of Vicki's high heels made Nicole a little nervous.
