Chapter 1375

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1375:

? ? ? ? ?

Since the faithful nanny refused to be hospitalized, Vicki relocated her to a warehouse behind the villa, under the pretext of preventing Austin from contracting any disease.

Vicki also made sure that the loyal nanny was treated by medical staff, thus avoiding any suspicion about her actions.

Even Alec, such a sharp-witted man, didn't notice anything amiss and praised Vicki when she informed Jarrod of the situation.

The nanny, who had just finished taking care of Austin's evening routine and was being led away by Vicki, peered outside and muttered, "He won't be long. He probably won't do it until next month."

Vicki’s eyes sparkled mischievously as she smiled. “Please make sure she is well taken care of. I don't want her to pass away before my wedding. “It would bring bad luck.”

The nanny agreed.

Vicki said, “I have transferred the funds for your son’s expenses abroad. When everything is settled, I will send three years’ worth of expenses.”

The nanny was very happy and expressed her gratitude profusely.

At first, this nanny's son could not afford to study abroad due to financial problems. Influenced by a friend, he insisted on studying abroad.

The nanny had tried to talk some sense into her by telling her about her family's financial problems. But her son went to extremes, refusing to eat and hurting himself in protest. Feeling she had no other choice, the nanny agreed to work with Vicki.

Vicki promised to cover her son's educational and living expenses in exchange for the nanny's help in a darker plot.

The nanny wouldn't dare target Jarrod's son, nor did she want to face Jarrod's potential wrath. After all, Jarrod was a respected figure, not easy to cross.

However, normally speaking, one wouldn't suspect a nanny if something went wrong. As long as one played it safe, no one would find out.

Over time, without arousing anyone's suspicions, the nanny went from anxiety to a lack of remorse. Careful threading seemed like a minor sacrifice for her son's bright future.

On the other hand, Nicole sent another message to the nanny she had hired for Austin, asking about his well-being. The reply was reassuring, with a photo.

Austin's photo had been taken recently, which was evident by Austin's seasonal attire, making him look healthy and well-groomed.

Nicole stared at Austin's photo, a mix of longing and confusion in her eyes. There was a time when her own pain was too great, making it unbearable to look at Austin's face. Austin's presence was a painful reminder of Jarrod.

She loved Austin deeply, but despaired of Jarrod with every fiber of her being. These conflicting feelings made her unable to be the emotionally stable mother she wanted to be.

Her psychiatrist had recommended a temporary separation from Austin to help her stabilize emotionally.

Reluctantly, Nicole took the advice, and during their time apart, she found solace in Austin's photos. She studied each new photo intently, afraid of missing the smallest detail.

Her fingers run over the photo tenderly, a loving expression on her face. Sometimes she thought it would be a good idea to let Jarrod take care of Austin if she could provide him with a stable home. Maybe then she could watch Austin grow from afar and be there if he ever needed her.

Austin seemed to be adjusting well lately and hadn't mentioned her.

A pang of self-pity hit Nicole. Maybe Austin preferred his new family… Maybe she seemed too emotionally unstable to him. She avoided even looking at Austin from afar, terrified of not being accepted by him.

If Austin hated her, she was determined to let him go. She didn't see Austin just as her son, but as an independent individual whose thoughts she deeply respected.

When Nicole looked back at the photo, her finger gently brushed her cheek, but suddenly, her finger slipped and the page turned to the bottom of the photo.

Something at the bottom of the photo caught her eye. She squinted and zoomed in, a feeling of terror washing over her as she realized there was something off.
