Chapter 1368
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1368:

"We are here to punish the thief who interrupted the banquet and committed a robbery," the other bodyguard explained.
"A fortune in gold and silver jewelry went missing today at the event, and you're our prime suspect."
As the words floated in the air, the bodyguard threw a pile of jewelry on the ground in front of Nicole. Miguel's plan to kill Nicole was meticulously planned, leaving no loopholes.
Nicole stared in disbelief at the gold and silver scattered before her. âIt wasn't me! I didn't steal anything. âYouâre setting me up,â she exclaimed.
The bodyguards advanced step by step. âWe have witnesses and evidence that prove it was you. Do you still deny it?â they challenged her.
Programmed with Miguel's instructions, the bodyguards simply carried out his orders. By accusing Nicole, they justified their actions to begin the beating without fear of reprisals.
Cornered against a cold wall with nowhere to hide, Nicole watched as the mocking men raised their clubs.
Realizing the futility of pleading with Miguel's men, faithful enforcers of the Watts family, Nicole braced herself for the inevitable. She squeezed her eyes shut, anticipating the devastating blow.
"Bang!" There was a loud bang, but there was no pain.
Instead, Nicole found herself wrapped in a tight, protective hug.
Another stick fell, but the person protecting her dodged it, smashing it into the wall and shattering the wood.
The potential lethality of the blow was unmistakable. It could have been fatal.
Before Nicole could absorb the blow, darkness clouded her vision and a penetrating smell of blood filled her nostrils, soaking her hand.
Another blow was aimed at her, but a figure burst in and deflected it. The staff fell to the ground.
The newcomer, far from being polite, unleashed a flurry of kicks and punches on the bodyguards, quickly overpowering them.
Even after taking down the two bodyguards, the newcomer continued his attack without respite.
âDamn it! Are you blind? How dare you hit Mr. Schultz? âI will teach you a lesson you will never forget in your entire life,â he bellowed.
It was none other than Alec.
Amidst the chaos, the bloodied man, who had previously shielded Nicole from the impact, collapsed with a loud thud.
"Sir!" Alec was quick to support.
Jarrod looked miserable, his white shirt soaked with blood. He was recovering from a car accident and had only recently stopped bleeding.
Now, his wound had reopened due to the blow he received to protect Nicole, causing him to bleed profusely once again. His lips were pale and he looked extremely weak.
Nicole, still in shock, didn't know where Jarrod had come from.
Moments before, she had braced herself for the impact of the stick, but Jarrod had intervened, taking the blow for her.
Alec glared at Nicole. âIt's all your fault! Youâre a jinx!â I have accused. He bent down to pick up Jarrod, who had fainted. However, he couldn't lift Jarrod onto his back by himself.
Alec glared at Nicole. âHelp me! Don't you have a conscience? Jarrod has saved you countless times, and you don't even care!â
Stunned, Nicole quickly moved to help hold Jarrod up.
