Chapter 1361
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1361:
? ? ? ? ?
Alec tried to call Doreen, but got no answer.
Alec's bewilderment grew. "No one picks it up. Could they really be that busy?"
Jarrod had a sinking feeling. In the course of his investigation upon learning of Nicole's kidnapping, he found a possible connection between Nicole's situation and Miguel.
However, he lacked solid evidence, knowing that Miguel would not directly dirty his hands.
However, at that moment, Jarrod could not devote any more time to the investigation and opted to rescue Nicole instead.
Now that Nicole had been rescued again and had left the hospital to get closer to Roscoe, it was likely that Miguel would hurt her again.
Cunning as ever, Miguel knew that Doreen hated Nicole and could provoke Doreen into harming Nicole. This way, he could keep his own hands clean and leave him free from revenge. What an excellent plan!
Although it was just Jarrod's guess, it wasn't out of the realm of possibility. In fact, the chances were quite high.
Jarrod's gaze turned intense as he urged in a low tone, âHurry up!â
Nicole had indeed taken the morning train back to Ardlens because of Roscoe's wedding. She had left the hospital early, but did not arrive in Ardlens until one in the afternoon.
Roscoe's wedding was scheduled for that evening. He figured he hadn't arrived too late.
Security at the Watts family mansion was tight, with the villa heavily guarded, preventing Nicole from entering.
The servants nearby eyed Nicole warily, murmuring among themselves as if considering announcing her presence, having apparently anticipated her arrival.
Nicole quickly walked away, avoiding areas where she could be easily spotted.
Given the Watts family's surveillance, it's likely they knew or suspected something important. This confirmed Nicole's suspicions.
Just as she had heard and investigated, the Watts family was attempting to use Roscoe as a scapegoat, while in reality they were supporting another foreign heir.
Nicole felt compelled to warn Roscoe about it. Given his sharp mind, he would surely realize the situation after hearing her words.
Nicole sneaked into the back to bribe a servant and then disguised herself in her uniform to blend in. This made it difficult to recognize her.
She had also recently cut her hair, which made those who knew her before doubtful. She suspected that they were using an old photo of her with long hair to identify her.
Dressed as a maid, Nicole easily sneaked into the wedding venue.
Roscoe's wedding was lavishly decorated. The entire venue was decorated with red carpets, roses and carnations flowing in.
Guests arrived in great numbers, all dressed in extravagant attire. The Watts family seemed determined to impress the noble Ardlens this time.
His intentions? To amass a fortune from his illegal activities and pin the blame on Roscoe before fleeing.
Nicole no longer trusted anyone in the Watts family, as they all seemed to be in on the scheme. Miguel wasn't just malicious. He had a menacing look that sent shivers down his spine.
After searching fruitlessly for Roscoe, Nicole socialized and talked with other servants while arranging the fruit. She soon learned that the groom was in the backstage room, practicing his speech with the host.
Nicole immediately headed towards the living room.
