Chapter 1360
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1360:
? ? ? ? ?
Alec stood there bewildered, not catching the sudden shift in their conversation. âHuh?â
âI asked what date it is!â Jarrod said, showing a hint of impatience.
âIt's the 26th,â Alec replied.
Hearing this, Jarrod's tone turned cold as he said, "Today is Roscoe's wedding day."
Alec suddenly realized. It dawned on him. No wonder Nicole had left early that morning. She must have gone to find Roscoe.
Alec couldn't help but feel sorry for Jarrod. Jarrod had put his life in danger to rescue Nicole. Yet she had left to find another man as soon as she woke up. What a heartless woman!
âGet the car ready.â Jarrod threw back the blanket and got out of bed.
Alec was stunned. Jarrod hadn't recovered yet. How could he just leave?
Rushing to the door, Alec stopped Jarrod from leaving, his tone firm: âMr. Schultz, you cannot leave yet. Please heed the doctor's words and get a good rest from your serious injuries. Besides, there are plenty of reporters outside waiting to take your picture, even if you refuse to give an interview!â
Jarrod's expression tightened. âGet away!â
Alec stood his ground. âI won't! Sir, I know you're after that woman, but it's best to leave her alone. âSheâs not worth it.â
Jarrod looked at Alec and said, âIâm counting to one!â
Alec protested. âSir, people usually count to three!â
âOne!â Jarrod started counting, causing Alec to quickly step away.
Her resolve could only hold out so briefly against Jarrod.
âSir, sir. âWait for me.â Alec grabbed Jarrod's personal items and rushed after him.
Once in the car, Alec said, âThose girls think you're a hero. Theyâre all over the place singing your praises.â
Jarrod unbuttoned his shirt and said quietly, "I didn't save them." If it hadn't been for Nicole, the girls' grim fate would have been inevitable.
Alec replied, âI know. They also praised Nicole, saying she was incredibly brave to take down three men by herself, practically a hero. But sir, why are we rushing back?â
Alec was confused. âRoscoe's wedding is already set, and by now he's probably already married. âIt seems too late for Miss Lawrence to do anything.â
Jarrod's expression turned stern. âGet Miguel on the phone.â
"Okay." Alec didn't hesitate and immediately dialed Miguel. However, it was a servant who picked up and informed him that Miguel was sleeping.
Alec was confused. âIt's unbelievable. His son is getting married today and he's already in bed. âIt's something.â
Jarrod's anxiety increased. "What about Doreen? Can you locate her?"
