Unfazed, Nicole insisted softly, “It's okay. We're together. “They can’t hear us if we keep our voices down.”

The girl remained silent, so Nicole added, “Don't lose hope. Our chances will be even lower if they take us to another country.”

After a brief pause, the girl whispered, “We were brought here this morning.”

Nicole, excited, continued to inquire: "Were there other people here when you arrived?"

The girl nodded and said, "They just took them."

Nicole figured that according to the schedule, they would be taken away first thing the next morning. This meant that they still had some time and did not have to be completely passive.

However, it was still light outside and everyone was awake. It was not a good time to act. After some thought, Nicole whispered something to the girls on her left and right, and they passed it on.

After finishing his message, everyone began to rest, even though they couldn't sleep. They closed their eyes and tried to relax.

It was finally nighttime. Nicole wasn't sure how much time she had passed when the wooden door suddenly opened again.

A man with a flashlight in his hand shone a light on each of their faces. When he saw Nicole, he moved to her: “You, come out.”

Nicole recognized the voice. It was the man she had wounded in the head. She hadn't expected him to come.

Nicole thought that this might benefit her, so she slowly stood up and walked over to him. Approaching him, she felt surprised and said, “Dear sir…”

Before he could finish, the man gestured for him to be quiet.

Nicole obediently agreed.

The man addressed the guard in a language Nicole did not understand.

The guard nodded and motioned for him to hurry up.

The man led Nicole to a small grass hut. It was very narrow and barely fit two people.

It did have light, though, which made it much nicer than the cabin Nicole had been in. There was no strange smell, suggesting it was where the guards rested between shifts.

Once the door was closed, the man untied the rope around Nicole's hands and quickly revealed his true intentions. He reached out, trying to caress Nicole's breast.

Nicole quickly dodged his hand.

Frustrated, the man scolded him: “What are you doing? Did you decide me then?”

“No, no, kind sir. “I wouldn’t dare,” Nicole replied, her voice slightly trembling. “May I ask you to bring me water for a bath? I haven't washed for a long time and I haven't been able to go to the bathroom. I smell very bad…”

The man was captivated by Nicole's gentle tone and leaned in to sniff her. Despite her charm, she had a strong, unpleasant odor.

When the man had opened the door of the cabin earlier, the wind had come in and he almost vomited. The conditions inside were appalling, with feces, urine and blood everywhere.
