Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1338:

? ? ? ? ?

“Hey, bitch…” The sound of the rain and the car engine muffled the driver’s voice as he sped away.

“Thud!” Nicole fell to the ground and rolled several times. Her right shoulder was in pain, probably dislocated. She won under the intense pain.

Nicole gritted her teeth and forced herself to stand, each movement agonizing.

The car had turned around and was speeding back towards Nicole.

He headed towards the desert, but the heavy rain made it difficult to hide his tracks.

The driver quickly caught up with her. His physical fitness was evident as he closed the distance much faster than Nicole could.

Nicole stopped and picked up a wooden stick. She hid in the grass and remained completely silent.

The driver approached, his footsteps splashing loudly with each step.

“Girl, get out of there. It'll be easier for you if I don't have to go looking for you. If I do, I might break your legs. And then they might dig up your body to turn you into some kind of creepy doll.”

Nicole's heart raced as fear gripped her. It seemed like they were planning to sell her. Who could be behind such cruelty? Several names flashed through her mind. Vicki, Doreen, and the Watts family…

“Listen, young lady. I'll let you keep both your legs. That way you won't suffer so much when we get there. What do you say? There's no point in hiding. My people control this whole area. There’s no way out for you.”

Nicole was mentally strong and remained still despite the driver's threats.

As the driver came within six feet of her, Nicole jumped up and swung a wooden stick with all her power, hitting the driver in the head.

Unprepared, the driver grabbed his head in pain. Nicole took advantage of his confusion and hit him several more times, knocking him to the ground. She then kicked him twice to make sure he couldn't chase her.

When she was sure the driver wouldn't be up anytime soon, she picked up her cane and used it to hobble out of the grass.

to clean out of the grass.

When he reached the road, he found the car locked and without keys.

Unable to use the car and not wanting to risk running into the driver again, Nicole had no choice but to walk in the rain, hoping to find someone who could help her.

Finally, a car approached from behind. It was a private vehicle with local Ardlens registration plates.

Nicole is worried and doesn't know whether to flag him down. She feared she would get into more trouble, but she was also worried that the driver would regain consciousness and chase her in his car. In her condition, she couldn't outrun a car.

As she hesitated, the car stopped. Nicole's heart began to race.

The window rolled down and a woman with short hair and glasses appeared, looking like a teacher. She looked at Nicole with concern and asked, “Miss, are you okay? Do you need any help?”

Nicole shook her head, then shook her head.

The woman with glasses insisted: “It's strange to see cars around here. Are you sure you don't want my help?”

Nicole paused briefly before asking, “Could you please call the police?”
