Chapter 1333
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1333:

Not willing to leave without giving Roscoe proper notice, Nicole dialed Raegan's number.
âNicole, whatâs going on?â Raegan sensed that Nicole's call was urgent.
Given Nicole's busy schedule, she wouldn't have called otherwise.
âRaegan, could you help me get Roscoeâs personal phone number? âI need to get in touch with him,â Nicole said quickly, making her request clear.
Without hesitation, Raegan replied, âSure, Iâll tell my husband to take care of it. âHeâll send it to your phone shortly.â
Grateful for the help, Nicole felt a pang of guilt for relying on Raegan so often. âThanks, Raegan.â
Worried about a possible misinterpretation, Nicole was quick to reassure: âPlease don't worry. âI wonât do anything bad.â
âYou don't need to thank me. Weâre close friends and I trust you implicitly,â Raegan reassured her.
âHave you been swamped with work lately?â Raegan asked.
âMm⦠A little,â Nicole replied, a slight embellishment, though not entirely false.
Nicole's schedule at the Kingbel Club was indeed demanding. She slept during the day and worked all night until dawn, leaving her little time for herself. Visiting her mother was a priority, often right after work, despite her exhaustion.
Nicole was also reluctant to burden Raegan with her personal affairs. Raegan had three children to care for, a responsibility Nicole realized was more difficult than she had imagined.
Plus, Jarrod was Austin's biological father. Even with Mitchel's involvement, there would be limited help. Nicole realized that she, as Austin's biological mother, was the only one who had to deal with Jarrod.
"Understood. Since babies keep me busy, I've cut back on my social engagements. When they're a little older,
a little bit older, I'll take them and Janey to visit you and Austin."
âOkay.â Nicole nodded with a smile, choosing not to elaborate further.
Raegan said, âThen take good care of Austin and yourself.â
"I will do that."
After the call ended, Nicole pondered Raegan's words. Would Jarrod ensure Austin was properly cared for? Could she trust Austin's well-being to Jarrod alone? If it were just Jarrod, she might consider giving up custody. Given her health limitations, she couldn't guarantee that she would be with Austin for long.
Maybe one day, she would find her own end, given her condition. Austin still had his biological father to rely on. Maybe that was preferable to having no one at all.
Nicole, however, did not trust Vicki, whose malevolence was hidden behind a facade of innocence. If Vicki conceived after the wedding, Austin would undoubtedly become a source of vexation in her eyes and an obstacle that demanded to be removed.
That's why Nicole couldn't give in. She would never in her life allow Austin to become a pawn in someone else's game or a danger.
Before long, Raegan gave Nicole Roscoe's personal phone number.
Nicole dialed but got no answer. She tried another call but got no answer.
Nicole resorted to texting. âRoscoe, it's Nicole. Urgent business. Please call me.â
After sending the message, he plunged like a stone into the abyss of the oceanic void, encountering a prolonged silence.
