Chapter 1324:

Nicole continued to hand out pieces of cake. When it was Roscoe's turn, Doreen intercepted him and snatched the cake out of Nicole's hands, asking, "Roscoe, how good is this?"
It was probably the Watts family who made this cake.
Roscoe remained silent but accepted the cake. He didn't want to embarrass Doreen in front of everyone. He would talk about it later with Miguel, not caring how he felt now.
Doreen was delighted. As Nicole handed out the cake to Doreen's friends, Doreen exchanged glances with them and they instantly noticed.
Once Nicole was done serving, Doreen's friends launched an assault on the cake, smearing it all over Nicole's face. "Hey, watch out."
Everyone assumed it was part of the birthday fun.
But then Doreen's friends took it too far, relentlessly smearing cake on Nicole's face, making it difficult for her to breathe.
"Hey, calm down, guys! This is how you celebrate a birthday."
Doreen's friends smeared the cake residue all over Nicole, leaving her looking disheveled, with the cake stuck to her face and hair, looking like a clown.
Roscoe frowned in disgust, about to speak when Doreen let out a cry of surprise. âMy God!â
To everyone's amazement, Doreen pulled a ring out of her mouth. The diamond sparkled.
âRoscoe, this is the surprise you had planned!â Overjoyed, Doreen hugged Roscoe tightly, her eyes filling with tears. âOh, Roscoe, you are amazing!â
The ring, also prepared by the Watts family, caught Roscoe off guard.
When he saw the sparkling gem, he instinctively looked at Nicole.
Despite the cake frosting, Nicole's eyes seemed to contain a hint of sadness.
It was as if a string in Roscoe's heart had snapped. He felt as if he was about to remember something he had long forgotten. What was itâ¦
"Wow! No wonder we're all here to see this. Roscoe is so thoughtful," Vicki added.
Doreen was ecstatic, not paying attention to Roscoe's surprised look. She slipped the ring onto her finger and hugged Roscoe once more, brimming with emotion.
Vicki wiped away her tears and told Jarrod: âDoreenâs happiness is contagious. âIâm really happy for her.â
Jarrod remained silent, watching Nicole. He took in every detail, even the way she squeezed his hand. He almost scoffed to himself. Nicole had never begged him for custody of Austin, seemingly indifferent to her own son. Yet here she was, so interested in Roscoe. It was absurd.
Since things were going that way, Jarrod decided to take it further.
He clapped his hands, stood up and announced, âRoscoe, I just heard that your family wants to move up the wedding to ten days from now. Congratulations. âIâll organize the best team for a lavish wedding ceremony.â
It all happened so quickly and unexpectedly.
Roscoe was in shock, feeling like his heart was being torn apart. He felt like he knew everything was wrong, but he couldn't protest. It was like being trapped by an invisible force, unable to break free, but unwilling to give up.
