Chapter 1320

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1320:

? ? ? ? ?

Resigned to her fate for the night, Nicole walked over, knelt down, and filled the wine glass to the brim before offering it to Jarrod.

"Please," she said.

Jarrod stared into space, apparently lost in thought, and made no move to accept the glass.

“Please,” Nicole repeated, but Jarrod still didn’t respond.

At that moment, Vicki took the wine glass from Nicole and said, “I'm sorry, he doesn't drink anymore. He also recently quit smoking. We’re preparing…”

Vicki paused, but Doreen's enthusiasm filled the void. "Are you planning to have a baby? This is the perfect season for it, and the timing will be just right. It's wonderful how well you've planned everything."

Vicki's cheeks flushed and she looked down, clearly shy of the attention.

Meanwhile, Jarrod's expression remained cold, showing no signs of excitement at the prospect of becoming a father to Vicki's child.

Nicole listened to the conversation and a wave of happiness washed over her. They were trying to have a child, and if they succeeded, they could bring Austin back to her.

With this hope, Nicole poured Vicki a glass of water.

Vicki accepted the water and studied Nicole's face, pleased by her discretion.

After taking a sip, Vicki turned to Doreen. “Have you made a wish yet?”

“Of course not. “I was expecting everyone,” Doreen replied.

One of Doreen's friends chimed in: "Everyone is here. Doreen, make your wish and light the candles."

“Wait. “We’re still missing someone,” Doreen interjected.

Nicole felt an inexplicable fluttering in her chest at those words. As she had anticipated, Roscoe was next to arrive.

Roscoe seemed surprised to see Nicole, perhaps expecting her to work in a management position and not as a waitress, judging by her uniform.

Roscoe's face remained stoic, his emotions hidden, as Doreen ran towards him in giddy excitement, clinging to his arm. “Roscoe, you're here at last! Miguel tells me you've been busy with a project. Has it been very tiring?”

With cool detachment, Roscoe drew his arm and reached into his pocket, frustrating Doreen's attempts to grab onto him.

Ever since Roscoe suggested calling off the engagement, Doreen was furious. For three days she said nothing to him, but eventually her frustration got the better of her. She expected Roscoe to apologize, but he was unrepentant and seemed determined to stick to his decision.

Doreen, panicked, turned to Miguel to vent her frustrations.

Miguel was unaware of the tension that existed between them.

Upon learning of the situation, he harshly reprimanded Roscoe.

However, for the first time, Roscoe had challenged Miguel's authority after his memory loss. He questioned: "Did he really love Doreen? Could she be cheating on me? How could I love someone like her?"
