Chapter 1307
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1307:
? ? ? ? ?
Deniz remained silent, waiting for Nicole to speak to see what tricks she was up to.
Unfazed, Nicole said, âHave you been keeping up with what's going on with the Hampton family? It seems Lowe has made some major mistakes lately, causing quite a stir within the family. Even the board of directors has said negative things about him.
On the other hand, Vicki seems to be very good at building relationships within the company and getting things done. Her reputation for being kind and generous has earned her many accolades from the board of directors.
Deniz, sharp as ever, easily understood Nicole's insinuation. Essentially, Lowe lacked the popularity and influence within the Hampton family business that Vicki possessed. Nicole simply implied that he had aligned himself with the wrong person.
However, Deniz refused to let Nicole fool her so easily. She had not forgotten Nicole's family's industrial roots before Jarrod returned from abroad.
Since his return, Jarrod had dealt with Nicole's family several cruel blows that had led them to bankruptcy.
It was a tragic turn of events. Despite being Jarrod's adversary, Nicole had given birth to her son. A disconcerting circumstance, to say the least.
Deniz was unaware of the ins and outs of the situation, including how Jarrod forced himself on Nicole and the circumstances surrounding the birth of her son.
He merely skimmed the surface and remained oblivious to Nicole's true importance to Jarrod. Had he known, he would have refrained from laying a finger on Nicole.
By now, Deniz understood that Nicole had proven to be exceptionally intelligent and competent.
Deniz narrowed her eyes and growled, âDon't try to sow division here. In our country, it is tradition that family businesses are passed on to sons, not daughters. Considering the size of the Hampton family, are you suggesting they would hand over control to Vicki?â
Nicole replied, âYou don't seem to know. Let me give you some examples. The president of the Fletcher Group handed over the business to his capable daughter. So he became the president of the Wilson Group. Itâs clear that the world has evolved, and clinging to outdated beliefs only makes you look ignorant.â
âYou!â Deniz saw at her words, but eventually restrained himself, simply pointing at her without taking any further action.
He continued: âAll the families you mentioned had daughters as their only heirs. If the businesses had not been transferred to them, they would probably have given them away.â
âThat's true. But why do you think Vicki can't be the sole heir?â Nicole countered.
This statement made Deniz paused momentarily. Although absurd, it was not entirely implausible.
Although Lowe was the only male heir to the Hampton family, his penchant for trouble was well known. Recently, he had come close to jeopardizing his reputation.
Deniz had witnessed Lowe's erratic behavior on countless occasions, and the rumors surrounding Lowe were greatly exaggerated.
Wayne, overwhelmed by stress, now carried heart medication with him in case of emergency. Lowe's level of anxiety was evident to everyone.
However, as long as Lowe remained with the company, Deniz assumed that Wayne would steadily refuse to hand over the reins of the Hampton Group to anyone else.
Just then, Nicole interjected: âYou know, society is full of surprises these days. Itâs really hard to be sure that Lowe will manage to wait until Wayne retires without any unexpected problems arising.â
Hearing Nicole's words, Deniz almost slapped her thigh in agreement.
Lowe was a jerk. Honestly, if one decided to kill him, it wouldn't be a challenge. It really just came down to whether someone actually wanted to do it.
After all, Lowe had offended so many people. Anyone with a hidden agenda could easily find those Lowe had tormented, and manipulate them into eliminating him. All it would take was the promise of some benefits, and they would be willing to eliminate Lowe.
With Lowe out of the picture, Wayne would have no choice but to hand the reins of the company over to Vicki.
