Chapter 1303
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1303:
? ? ? ? ?
Stunned, Deniz grabbed her by the hair and slammed her head against the table.
"You bitch! You dare to hit me? You're looking for death! You're here to serve me!"
Nicole picked up an ashtray and sneered, âIf you humiliate me tonight, your future will be very unhappy!â
Deniz shook his head. âYou're talking nonsense!â
Nicole's eyes narrowed. âJarrod won't allow anyone to humiliate the mother of his child. Regardless of our relationship, I am still the mother of his child. Do you think he will sit back if he finds out itâs you?â
Deniz hesitated. The thought of Nicole being the mother of Jarrod's child gave her pause. Jarrod cared deeply about his image. If he caught someone messing with his family, he would definitely act.
Having crossed paths with Jarrod before, Deniz knew she had to be careful.
Sensing the change, Nicole posed the question. âDo you really think Vicki has managed to get you to come and appease her?â
Deniz's hesitation deepened.
âWhy would he do that?â Nicole continued. âHe's always looked down on you. He's offering you a 'deal,' but it's a trap. He's pressing you to take the blame, and if something goes wrong, he'll act like he had nothing to do with it. Youâll be the scapegoat, right?â
Her rhetorical question left Deniz dumbfounded. When I thought about it, it started to make sense. Vicki had always been arrogant and distant, never trying to please him. He found her disposition suspicious.
Deniz was becoming more and more convinced that Vicki had set him up. If Jarrod asked Vicki, she would wash her hands of the matter and leave him as the blame. Damn it! Vicki was up to something!
After silently cursing Vicki, Deniz looked at Nicole suspiciously. âYou say all this, but how do I know you're not trying to trick me? Maybe you just want me to let you go.â
Nicole remained calm. âSome things don't need explaining. You can see for yourself if itâs true.â
Nicole knew that if she tried to defend herself now, Deniz wouldn't believe her. Instead of arguing further, she let him think for himself.
Deniz was almost convinced, but he still asked: âIf you are so sure of everything, why didn't you tell Jarrod that Vicki was behind it all? âShe must have used your son to threaten you, right?â
Despite Deniz's apparent absent-mindedness, Nicole didn't consider him an idiot. Anyone who could make a name for themselves in Ardlens had to have some intelligence.
Deniz persisted. âYou say Jarrod values ââyou, right? So why don't you call him and tell him what happened? Letâs see how he handles it.â
He insisted that Nicole make the call.
Nicole shook her head. âI have important business here. Otherwise, I wouldnât have come.â
Vicki's tactics weren't formidable, but Nicole chose to comply just to get Vicki to let her guard down and relieve Jarrod's vigilance. This time she would be careful and not act impulsively. Her goal was to regain custody of Austin and leave with him, ensuring his safety.
There were still many secrets in the Kingbel Club waiting to be discovered.
Now that she was here at Vicki's request, Nicole assumed that Vicki would let her guard down and not take any immediate action against Austin, which benefited everyone. Plus, the familiar face she had seen earlier, the woman named Melissa, was certainly a cause for concern. Melissa must have gotten plastic surgery to resemble her appearance, but where did Melissa know her from and why was she imitating her?
Nicole knew this situation was not as simple as it seemed and felt compelled to delve deeper into the underlying truth.
