Chapter 1270
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1270:
? ? ? ? ?
Lacking parental experience, Derek remained indolent and self-centered, devoid of any emotional connection to his daughter.
However, at this critical moment, her daughter became a bargaining chip.
Aware that children softened women, Derek persisted in his pleas, his face desolate. He has extolled his daughter's virtues, highlighting her charm and adorableness, weaving a compelling tale of paternal devotion.
Initially skeptical, Nicole's skepticism dissolved upon hearing about the girl, softening her heart.
Derek did indeed have a two-year-old daughter. The thought of the child's unfortunate fate if her father died stirred Nicole's compassion.
Despite Derek's flaws, his daughter was still innocent in his eyes, and Nicole couldn't bear the thought of another family torn apart.
With determination, Nicole walked around to the opposite side of the car, broke the remaining window, and used her strength to free Derek's trapped hand.
âOw! âYou.â Derek wanted to curse, but quickly changed his tone and warned, âCareful. âItâs⦠itâs painful.â
Nicole was not very understanding: âDo you think you can avoid the consequences of your misdeeds without suffering a little discomfort? Is that it?â
Furious but afraid of provoking further anger, Derek could only mutter, âI understand, Miss. You're being nice. Ah! Please be niceâ¦â
Then a loud snap signaled Derek's release as Nicole finally let go of his hand.
âAh!â Derek screamed in agony.
Derek paid a heavy price for freeing his hand as the skin on his hand was torn away, exposing the raw, bloody flesh beneath. It was a horrifying sight.
âAh! Youâre trying to kill me, arenât you?â Derek accused.
âNo, I just had to pull your hand away,â Nicole replied calmly. She could have been gentler, but she chose not to be and instead used all her strength to yank it off.
People like Derek, even if they don't deserve to die, they should go through some hardships to understand that he had to pay dearly for his misdeeds and to prevent him from committing them again.
Derek suppressed the urge to lunge at Nicole, as his left hand was so badly injured it was practically useless.
I realized that Nicole was sharper than I had anticipated. She added to the severity of his wound to lessen his threat level. He cursed silently, but depended on Nicole to help him escape the wrecked car.
âMiss, please help me out of here. Itâs too dangerous,â Derek pleaded, looking at the smoking car.
Seeing the urgency, Nicole overcame her own discomfort, yanked open the twisted car door, and dragged Derek to safety.
Once outside, Derek collapsed to the ground, gasping for air. He looked like a stranded fish, his mouth open, desperate for air.
Nicole grabbed Derek's phone to call for help, but realized it was locked and she couldn't make an emergency call.
Normally, a cell phone could do it. Even if it wasn't unlocked, he could call for help. It seemed like Derek's phone was made just for him.
Nicole looked at Derek, lying on the floor like a fish out of water. Letting her guard down a bit, she walked over and asked, âWhatâs the password?â
