Chapter 1217

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1217:

? ? ? ? ?

Then, I burst into a crazy laugh, looking up. “So, Nicole, it turns out I love you, hahaha…”

A towering figure of six feet, laughing bitterly, tears running down his cheeks. He loves her, but her love for him has faded…

Nicole felt only fear. “You call this love? Pushing me to the edge? This isn't love. This is possessive obsession. You’re a complete selfish, trashy, bastard…”

Nicole threw caution to the wind. With him revealing her secret, she felt like throwing it all away. There was no need to pretend anymore.

Jarrod, far from being angry at her outburst, began to laugh.

"It's okay. I don't need your affection, I have my ways." He said firmly, "Nicole, I'm taking the girl."

This was a direct threat from Jarrod. He intended to take the child away from him.

On the verge of madness, Nicole exclaimed: "By what right? He's my son. How can you just take him away like that?"

Jarrod threw the paternity test in Nicole's face, his tone cold and merciless. “I am the father of the child,” he said. “Nicole, do you think you can defy me? What makes you think you can take the child away from me?”

Jarrod wasn't making fun of her. She wouldn't need to go to great lengths to legally secure custody of the child. Nicole's medical records alone would attest to the fact that she was not a suitable guardian.

“You've always wanted to leave, to be with that man, haven't you?” Jarrod smiled a little, nodding toward the door. “There's the door. You can go right now.”

How could Nicole leave? Walking through that door meant completely abandoning Austin and giving up her last chance.

Sitting on the floor, Nicole stared at the paternity report, which revealed a 99.99% match, a cruel irony. Was this child really what Jarrod wanted? No, she suspected the child was just another way to control her.

Nicole's eyes glazed over and she smiled bitterly. "Jarrod, are you trying to destroy me?"

Those words pierced Jarrod like a knife through his heart. He felt as if something was draining him, eating away at him from within. His love for her was real, but so was his hatred. Why did she always have to be like a poisonous creature, always attacking him to hurt him?

He looked at her coldly. “Do you want to see your mother?”

Nicole's empty heart fluttered weakly. Slowly, she turned her head towards him like a puppet and let out her words, one by one. “What did you say?”

“Your mother is alive,” Jarrod said.

At these words, Nicole deflated like a punctured balloon, all her resistance and confidence instantly gone. Jarrod now held all the cards. His son and his mother.

Nicole slumped into Jarrod's arms like a limp doll, her head resting under his chin as he breathed in her scent, the same scent he'd so long to inhale.

"Nicole, you know what I want. Stop being so stubborn, okay?"

Even a doll like her, in his arms, could turn his heart, hard as stone, into a complete mess.

Jarrod pulled his hair fervently, his voice hoarse. “You want me to give up? I will. But don't run away again. “Never again.”

For the first time, Jarrod had given up. Even with two trump cards, he felt completely powerless against Nicole. The idea that she might not be his, that she could leave at any moment, left him in suspense.

Finding Austin was a relief for Jarrod. With Austin, I assumed Nicole wouldn't run away. She would be with him forever.
