Chapter 1216:

Nicole tensed, then gritted her teeth and replied, "He's my son, only mine."
At this, Jarrod let out a cold laugh. âYour son, very good!â
Jarrod's tone turned chilling as he echoed his words.
"Alec!" she shouted.
Alec was quick to appear at the door: âMr. Schultz, what do you need?â
"Throw that child out of the window!" Jarrod ordered, his voice brutal and merciless.
Alec froze, his body rigid with shock.
Nicole's nails scratched the carpet fiercely, one nail broke and bled, creating a terrible sight.
âAre you deaf?â Jarrod's voice was cold. âJust do it!â
Alec nodded and said, âOkay.â He was willing to follow orders, no matter how extreme, even if Jarrod demanded that he rip out his own heart.
"No! Donât do it!â Nicole's scream broke the silence. She couldn't hold back any longer. Jarrod was pushing her to the edge, forcing her to confess.
âJarrod, have you lost your mind?â Nicole screamed in panic. âHe's your son! You canât do this!â
She lunged forward and grabbed his pant leg, her grip desperate, her screams choked with desperation. âLet Austin go. Let him go. Take my life. Forgive Austin⦠He shouldn't be raised by someone like youâ¦â
Nicole didn't want Austin to accept Jarrod's harsh and twisted upbringing. If her son, born in the midst of so much struggle, became cruel and ruthless under Jarrod's influence, committing terrible acts, then she would have preferred that her son had never existed.
âLet him go. Let him be freeâ¦â Nicole continued, her sobs violent and uncontrollable.
Jarrod grabbed her suddenly, his face intense. âNicole, why did you decide to have this child? Was it to hurt me, to deal me a fatal blow?â
Nicole was baffled by his accusations.
âSo why have him, just to run off with another man?â Jarrod's eyes burned with rage. âYou want my son to call another man father? Do you want to die?â
His hands tightened around her neck, strangling her.
âI wish I could die. I really do. Everyone I love is gone. âI have no reason to live.â Nicole's emotions swung wildly between sobbing and hysterical laughter, as if she had lost her mind.
âBut I survived. He is too resilient. In my fragile, disease-ridden body, his vigor truly scares me.â Nicole was referring to Austin. Austin's birth process was fraught with danger. Yet, destined to be born, he miraculously survived.
âJarrod, I despise you. I wish you were dead. Why can't you just die? âIt would be better if you werenât alive anymore.â Nicole was getting more and more excited.
âYou're not pretending anymore?â Jarrod said with a cold sneer. âWhat a pity. I'm very much alive, thriving in fact. And if I die, I'll make sure you come with me, because I love you so much..."
After saying these words, even Jarrod seemed surprised by them.
