Chapter 1214
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1214:

Undeterred, the girl knocked several more times until the window opened.
Leila caught a glimpse of a handsome, youthful face. It radiated a warm charm, very different from Jarrod's unsympathetic demeanor she was used to. The man seemed to move his chair closer to the window.
Leila stared at the man a little longer, as if she were assessing a potential son-in-law, and was very happy for Nicole. Such a bright and affable young man seemed perfect for Nicole. After all, a pair of gloomy souls would not make a happy couple.
Roscoe picked up the note and looked down.
Leila waved at him, getting his attention, and he nodded in response.
Roscoe quickly wrote a message on a small piece of paper, slipped it into the toy airplane, and attached a couple of fancy chocolates as a special gift for the little girl.
Realizing it was time to leave, Leila picked up the note, waved goodbye, and drove off. Once home, her heart raced with excitement, relieved to see the driver still resting.
That afternoon, back at the hospital, Leila managed to pass the note to Nicole.
Nicole waited until midnight to read the note. It was written in Roscoe's bold, elegant handwriting. âI can't contact you right now. Iâm working on it.â
Nicole's heart raced as she read the message. âI can't reach you right nowâ meant she couldn't connect with Austin.
Nicole felt a surge of fear. She hadn't had any communication with Austin or the nanny for days.
The nanny had worked for Nicole for years and probably sensed something was wrong.
Nicole had instructed the nanny to take Austin overseas immediately if she became unreachable. All preparations were ready. She wondered if the nanny had left yetâ¦
Tossing and turning in bed, Nicole lay awake, her mind filled with worries about Austin and the babysitter. She hadn't even realized Jarrod had been gone for days.
It was ten days later when Jarrod finally made his appearance.
During his absence, Nicole had been moved from her hospital room to one of Jarrod's villas.
When Jarrod appeared, there was a noticeable change in him. The typically aloof man seemed somewhat more approachable. His tone and manner were oddly cheerful, which Nicole sensed was not a positive sign.
Before Nicole could ponder it further, Jarrod asked, âAre you getting used to it here?â
Ignoring his question, Nicole insisted, âWhen are you going to take me to see Roscoe? âYou promised me.â
At this, Jarrod looked at her and sneered, âI think thereâs someone else youâd rather see than Roscoe.â
Nicole tensed and asked, âWho?â
Jarrod looked at her, his eyes deep and dark as the sea.
Nicole's anxiety intensified. She said once more, her voice shaking, "Get to the point, Jarrod. Who are you talking about?"
Jarrod stopped mocking. With a flick of his fingers, two familiar figures appeared at the top of the stairs.
