Chapter 1201

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1201:

? ? ? ? ?

Nicole took several steps forward in the dark night, not noticing a man dressed in black mingling in the shadows. She accidentally bumped into a surprisingly wide chest.

“I'm sorry,” she said automatically, but stopped when she caught a familiar scent. That unmistakable aroma… It was just like Jarrod's!

Nicole's heart skipped a beat as she looked up into a cold, expressionless face. A metaphorical clap of thunder shattered her calm.

“It’s been a while,” Jarrod’s voice sounded eerily calm, his features shrouded in darkness, unreadable.

Nicole's scalp prickled, a sensation like ants crawling over her, goosebumps spreading. Her mind screamed, “Run, run!” Yet her legs were heavy as lead, pinned to the ground.

Jarrod effortlessly lifted her into his arms, heading to a secluded area of the building.

Nicole did not resist, knowing that any objection could put Roscoe in danger.

Jarrod was not alone. Two muscular men were with him.

Nicole thought first and foremost about protecting Roscoe.

From her hiding place, Nicole saw Roscoe below, anxiously searching for her, his concern evident. She refrained from calling out his name, however, fearful of the consequences. She approached each passerby, describing their features.

Nicole had never seen Roscoe so desperate. Tears rolled down her cheeks and her heart wrenched painfully.

“Does it hurt?” Jarrod's cold voice sounded from beside her.

Looking him straight in the eye, Nicole replied, “You better not touch it!”

Jarrod's smile was thin and chilling. "Do you think you're in a position to talk to me like that?"

Nicole looked noticeably better than when they were together before.

So, although she was pretty, she always seemed worried, she almost never smiled and she seemed painfully thin, almost fragile.

She now looked vibrant and healthy, glowing with the warmth of someone well loved, reminiscent of their college days when they were in love.

A surge of anger emerged through Jarrod. It was clear that he loved someone else.

“So you've been having fun since you ran away,” Jarrod commented, his voice laced with venom.

Nicole knew that screaming or trying to escape would be useless.

Jarrod had found her and had no intention of letting her go.

Resigned, she said, “Jarrod, I don't want revenge anymore. I tried to lock you behind the bar last time, but I failed. Let's just say we're even. Can’t we just go our separate ways and live our own lives?”

“By hand?” Jarrod sneered, gripping her chin tightly. “How do you justify stabbing me? How are you going to make things right for what you did to me before?”

Nicole won as Jarrod's grip tightened, her voice wavering. “Jarrod... Why can't you just let me go? You're engaged… You have a fiancée. What more do you want from me?”
