Chapter 1189
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1189:
? ? ? ? ?
Observing Jarrod's virtuous appearance, which belied his true libertine nature, Lowe could not contain himself, ignoring the presence of other guests. "Mr. Schultz, I hear you still pine for that woman. Was she so memorable that you can't let her go?"
Vicki's face drained of color at his words. Nicole was a sore spot for her. Despite her numerous hints that Jarrod didn't have to wait until their wedding night, she remained distant.
Well-traveled and experienced with previous boyfriends, Vicki was no stranger to relationships. Jarrod was her fiancé by right, and intimacy between them seemed natural.
However, Jarrod resisted her advances, avoiding even a simple kiss. There was one moment when she had stolen a quick kiss from him, but he had immediately pulled away.
As Lowe continued, Vicki's discomfort grew, making her wonder if Jarrod still harbored feelings for Nicole.
âMr. Lowe Hampton, who told you that?â Jarrod asked, one eyebrow raised. He felt cornered by Lowe's persistent probing, but even more so by Vicki's presence, determined not to let him harbor any insecurities.
After all, women could be quite difficult to deal with when they were in distress.
Jarrod's opinion of Lowe was low, however. To him, Lowe was nothing more than a decadent pleasure-seeker, who would not hesitate to betray him for his own benefit. But now was not the time for confrontation.
Lowe sneered, revealing his true intentions: âOf course, I have solid evidence. Are you worried about upsetting my sister? I think she's pretty resilient. After watching that video, she seemed unfazed and is still deeply in love with you, which is quite admirableâ¦â
Although his words seemed to praise Vicki, they were actually a mockery, suggesting that she was ineffective at maintaining a man's affections and allowing Jarrod to pursue other relationships.
Vicki caught the underlying sneer and her face went deathly pale.
How could she not be affected by the reappearance of that subject? She knew that the woman in the video was Nicole, Jarrod's first love. Their relationship had begun in college and had ended bitterly after a dramatic disagreement.
What she didn't expect was that after all these years, they were still entangled. And Jarrod had even managed to be so cruel to Nicole by forcing her to kiss him.
Vicki had watched the video intently. Call her twisted or sick, she simply wanted to see what Jarrod looked like in the middle of sex.
In Vicki's book, Jarrod captivated her no matter what he did, even at times that bordered on the sadistic. Coupled with his strikingly handsome face, he aroused involuntary desire in her.
Especially at the end, when Jarrod showed a look of complete satisfaction, unlike anything Vicki had ever seen before. It terrified her. Jarrod seemed truly and deeply in love with Nicole.
Upon learning that Nicole had run away, Vicki prayed that she would never return.
Otherwise, I wasn't sure how she might react.
âLowe, instead of worrying about my relationship with Vicki, maybe you should pay more attention to your own health,â Jarrod replied coldly.
Lowe's eyebrows furrowed in irritation. âWhat do you mean by that?â
Jarrod looked at Lowe coldly, his voice firm. âYour father is eager to have grandchildren, and you have been with quite a few women. However, none of them have given you a son. Could it be a health problem?â
Lowe felt a flash of panic. His carefree youth, spent indiscriminately in romantic relationships, had led to a diagnosis of oligospermia, which actually made it difficult for him to father children.
Despite his reckless behavior, he had yet to have any children. He wondered how on earth Jarrod knew. His father was already displeased with him. If his infertility came to light, any favor he held would disappear.
"Roll! Jarrod, stop talking nonsense. You think you can do it, huh? "Are you planning to father a child to inherit the Hampton estate?"
Lowe, drunk and furious, ignored the decorum required by the solemnity of the birthday banquet.
âThank you for your concern, Lowe. I will have my own children,â Jarrod replied equitably.
