Chapter 1168:
? ? ? ? ?
Raegan was speechless.
Only then did Raegan realize why Mitchel had silenced her earlier. He had been orchestrating his proposal.
Tears filled Raeganâs eyes as she nodded and whispered, âYes.â
Touched by the moment, Mitchel's eyes filled with tears. I have meticulously organized this proposal. He had chosen a team to set the scene, waiting for the right moment to execute the plan.
As soon as Mitchel found out about Raegan's feelings at the hospital, he immediately directed the team to start getting everything ready. He then intentionally stayed in the cafeteria, which gave him time to check and make sure everything was ready.
Fortunately, everything turned out wonderfully.
As Mitchel placed the ring on Raegan's finger, a flock of white doves rose into the sky.
At the same time, fireworks exploded, lighting up the night. The sky was adorned with red balloons and white doves, creating a stunning spectacle.
Overwhelmed and speechless, Raegan covered her mouth.
Mitchel, leaning on his crutch, stood up and leaned over to hug Raegan.
By then a crowd had formed around him, their voices resounding with congratulations. The atmosphere was filled with bubbles of joy.
Mitchel then began planning his wedding, eager for it to be flawless. He had to prepare a lot of details well in advance, including ordering items and flowers from abroad for the venue.
Everything was going smoothly and the wedding was scheduled for Valentine's Day.
Mitchel decided to have surgery before the wedding to fully heal his leg.
Raegan understood his motives. He wanted to look his best and not feel like a loser on his special day. Although he tried to hide it, he was quite self-conscious about his leg.
Raegan asked about the risks of the operation and learned that it had a 95% success rate. That was a reassuring figure. However, she couldn't help but worry about the remaining 5% of complications.
As they lay together, Raegan whispered a reminder to her: âDon't forget your promise. No matter what happens, you wonât leave me.â
I wanted to remind him that being together, with his children, was the most important thing.
Uneasy, Raegan began to reconsider her plans. âMitchel, what do you think if we skip the wedding and go on our honeymoon? What do you think?â
Deep down, she was tormented by the fear of her impending operation.
Mitchel, trying to calm her fears, replied: âDon't worry. The operation is safe. âI will be by your side, no matter what happens.â
With lingering anxiety, Raegan waited for the day of Mitchel's operation.
Outside the operating room, Raegan, along with Janey, Westin and Juan, waited for news.
Earlier, Janey had caught a glimpse of Mitchel, dressed in hospital clothes, which almost brought her to tears.
