Chapter 1162

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1162:

? ? ? ? ?

“No…” Raegan said, a hint of shame in her voice. “I have scars, and they’re pretty ugly.”

She had had a Caesarean section and, despite advances in medical technology, scarring was inevitable.

She had only had her surgery a month earlier and her doctors had advised her to apply scar creams for at least six months before seeing any significant changes.

The treatment would only lighten the scars, not erase them completely.

But they would be less noticeable than now, which was quite unsightly…

That's how Raegan felt about it.

Mitchel's eyes met hers, full of tenderness, as he reassured her, "It's okay. I want to see."

Clutching her clothes tightly, Raegan nervously replied, “It really makes look awful…”

“It won't be. I won’t find it terrible,” Mitchell reassured her with a smile. “You didn't care that I was disabled.”

It was the first time he had spoken openly about his disability, and his words touched Raegan's heart deeply. In a soft voice, he replied, “How could I? “I feel so sorry for you.”

His words were sincere. True love meant accepting each other's flaws and imperfections.

"I'm very happy to hear that," Mitchel said sincerely.

A healthy relationship meant sharing one's own flaws without feeling inferior.

Looking up, her eyes still wet, Raegan said, “It's okay, Mitchel. “I’m fine with everything you do.”

Confidently, Raegan began to strip, showing him her imperfections. “You see, we are the same,” she said.

Mitchel touched the scar gently, his eyes wet with tears. “I promise I won't let you suffer like that again.”

The overwhelming fear of losing Raegan to severe bleeding during childbirth had set in. I have vowed to never let her face such danger again.

Bowing his head, Mitchel kissed the scar repeatedly…

They lay in bed for a long moment, but Mitchel refrained from going any further. Raegan was still healing, and although she wanted more, she held back.

But Mitchel treasured this closeness, a kind of intimacy rediscovered in the wake of loss. Raegan valued it deeply, too.

After the intimacy, Mitchel grabbed Raegan's hand tightly. "Raegan, actually, there is still hope for my leg."

Raegan froze as he continued, “Luis has scheduled me for joint replacement surgery, which has worked well in other cases.”

“What? “Seriously?” Raegan couldn't believe it.

"Seriously. We finalized the plans for the operation a week ago, and we're ready to go as soon as spring comes."
