Chapter 1160

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1160:

? ? ? ? ?

His heart was pounding. Each beat sounded like a drum, as if it could jump into his hand at any moment.

Raegan said, “That doesn't prove you have feelings for me. Maybe your heart is racing. Maybe you need to see a doctor…”

Before she could finish, Mitchel leaned over and kissed her.

Their lips barely touched at first, but the connection seemed to unleash an unforeseen magic, quickly drawing them deeper.

The heat from the underfloor heating seemed to intensify their kiss.

The air was filled with a subtle romantic scent.

Mitchel's slender, strong hand moved to the back of Raegan's neck, gently stroking her hair as he deepened the kiss.

The kiss started out tender and soft, but soon intensified, charged with Mitchel's vigorous passion.

Raegan felt overwhelmed, losing her sense of response, unconsciously letting out a soft moan…

The kiss deepened, its intensity increasing. If it weren't for Raegan's recent recovery, Mitchel would have wanted it to last even longer.

When Mitchel finally released her, Raegan leaned on his hand, feeling her legs go weak. Her cheeks glowed like a peach kissed by the morning dew.

Mitchel clenched his jaw and his Adam's apple bobbed as he said, "See? It's not just that my heart is racing. It's because I want you constantly."

Raegan, overwhelmed by his words, pulled away slightly and scolded him, her face still flushed, “You're talking nonsense again.”

But Mitchel, with a slight smile and in a soft tone, replied: "It's not nonsense. It may sound cliché, but really, you are the only one who has ever made me feel this way."

With that, he pulled her back into his embrace with his strong arms.

Raegan's cheeks, still rosy, rested on his shoulder, her demeanor almost childlike.

After a moment of silence, Mitchel's voice, deep and compelling, came through.

«Raegan, all these years, I feel like I've been losing you repeatedly until the day I realized that my life had a time limit. That's when I started doing things for you, believing that they were right.

"I thought that clearing every obstacle from your path and leaving all my wealth and care for you and our children was the best thing I could do."

«Back then, I was so desperate that I was forced to push you away, having neglected how you felt all the time. I lived each day as if I was ripping my heart out without seeing how wrong I was. I thought I was already suffering enough, having been punished adequately..."

«Until I experienced the same treatment I gave you, I never truly understood your pain. The pain that can make life unbearable. Watching you choose someone else, I told myself that if sacrificing my feelings would bring you happiness, then it was worth it. But when your water broke and you passed out, the first thing I thought was that I couldn't afford to lose you.»

At that critical moment, Mitchel considered taking care of his last affairs and joining her in eternal rest if she had not succeeded.

Even as he donated his blood for her, these thoughts persisted.

If Raegan died, his life seemed meaningless. Unwittingly, Mitchel realized he couldn't live without her.

Before meeting Raegan, Mitchel couldn't imagine loving someone so deeply, willing to do everything for her while fighting the urge to force her back to him. In a way, he had become a mix of generosity and selfishness.
