Chapter 1159

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1159:

? ? ? ? ?

Mitchel gently brushed her hair away from her face, looking at her with tender eyes. “Look, I’m fine.”

Raegan noticed that he didn't seem to take her concern seriously, and a spark of anger ignited in her. “If this happens again, I swear I'll stop talking to you. “Seriously.”

Mitchel agreed. “I promise I’ll be more careful.”

But internally, I have added a silent exception for anything involving Raegan. It was a promise he found impossible to keep.

His calm deserted him when he came to her. Every moment she was out of his sight, he couldn't find peace.

Suddenly, Mitchel asked her, “Raegan, are you willing to be with me?”

Those words seemed to possess a special kind of magic.

Tears filled Raegan's eyes as she listened. Being with him meant sharing joys and sorrows. However, since his return, Mitchel had shouldered all the hardships, protecting her from any distress.

How can you not keep falling in love with him over and over again?

Maybe saying “falling in love with him over and over again” wasn't entirely accurate.

It was more than their hearts had always been connected.

A mixture of pain and joy swelled in Raegan's chest. In a soft whisper, she began, “Actually…”

She finally revealed the truth: “My wedding with Stefan was a farce.”

"I'm aware," Mitchel replied tenderly.

Raegan, puzzled, asked, “How did you know?”

“Erick told me,” Mitchel replied.

Raegan was speechless. She didn't know whether to call her brother a fool or a good helper. “So, you knew all along? Then why didn’t you…?” she began, but then hesitated.

Seeing her pause, Mitchel asked, “You didn't do what?”

Raegan's cheeks flushed, embarrassed to say it out loud. She wanted to ask him how he'd kept his feelings hidden for so long. Then it hit her. Maybe the fact that he pretended not to know was a sign that he didn't care that much anymore.

A mix of annoyance and insecurity washed over Raegan. “You… you don't feel the same way about me anymore?”

The feeling of insecurity was consuming Raegan. Maybe his recent suggestion that they be together was only for the sake of his children, to give them a complete family. Not because he still had feelings for her.

This thought terrified Raegan. What if Mitchel's feelings for her had faded? In that case, she would keep her feelings hidden. She would love him, but she refused to love without self-love, as she had done before.

Mitchel, however, took her hand and placed it over his heart.

"Listen to this. Do you think I'm indifferent?"
