Chapter 1158

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1158:

? ? ? ? ?

In a bold move, Raegan had hidden Casey in the bushes next to the car, convinced that the most dangerous places could turn out to be the safest.

He had deliberately left signs along the road leading Davey to the church, using every means. The rest he left to fate.

She was sure that Erick and his people would come to rescue her.

However, Raegan had not anticipated Mitchel's arrival.

Seeing the crutches hastily thrown on the ground, Raegan's heart pounded. She could sense Mitchel's despair from moments ago.

Raegan, who had remained tearless even in the face of death, finally allowed herself to cry. “Erick, you're crazy to come up with such a risky plan and let him carry it out…”

Mitchel's leg hadn't fully healed yet. Any mistake, and he could have been the one spilling out in that blood.

Erick was surprised. He honestly hadn't expected Mitchel to jump off the ledge with Davey at that decisive moment. Luckily, Mitchel had timely grabbed onto the cross, avoiding the same fate as Davey.

They had intended to attack surreptitiously, and with Davey's erratic behavior, no one could have predicted that he wouldn't take out Raegan.

Erick, if I had been in that position, I would have done whatever it took!

Therefore, Erick offered no defense, limiting himself to confessing: "It's my fault, completely my fault."

Seeing Raegan crying, Mitchel spread his arms, although his hesitation was evident.

“Please, no more risks like this!” Raegan, seeing with a mixture of frustration and lingering fear, suddenly stood up to head downstairs.

But he got up too quickly, became dizzy, and fainted.

“Raegan!” Mitchel and Erick shouted in shock.

Mitchel grabbed Raegan and Erick quickly intervened saying, “Let’s get her to the hospital.”

As they hurried down, police sirens filled the air, while Erick's assistant stayed behind to talk to authorities.

Davey, lying in a pool of blood on the floor with his eyes wide open, remained unattended. No one looked back at him. His death was deemed justifiable.

At the hospital, Raegan had a horrible dream.

In it, Mitchel fell from a window and she chased him, only to discover a blurred, bloody figure on the ground. "No!" she screamed in agony.

Seeing her so tormented, with tears running down her face, Mitchel kept calling her: “Raegan, Raegan…”

Awakened by his voice, Raegan slowly opened her eyes and, seeing him in front of her, she immediately sat up and hugged him tightly. With tears in her eyes, she exclaimed, “Mitchel, you're okay! What a relief!”

Mitchel hugged her back just as tightly, gently stroking her shaking back. “I'm okay, I'm okay…” he murmured reassuringly, trying to calm her down until Raegan's crying slowly quieted.

Still hiccuping, he managed to say, “How could you…? That was reckless! Please don’t do that again…”
