Chapter 1142

Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1142:

? ? ? ? ?

Frustrated by this realization, Davey acknowledged the harsh truth.

Seeing no further use for Raegan, he lifted his foot. With a disdainful expression, he ordered, “Set the temperature to minus sixty-two degrees.”

Raegan froze. She gasped in disbelief. This was his way of finishing what he hadn't managed to do before. He intended to freeze her to death.

Watching Davey head for the exit, Raegan realized she had one last chance. Once he left the room, his fate would be sealed.

How could she gather the strength to fight for her life? She didn't want to die. She was determined to live, to rescue her mother and to wait for Erick's arrival.

With Casey's face in her mind, Raegan suddenly cried out in a hoarse voice, "Davey Glyn!"

Using her full name caught his attention. As expected, he stopped and turned to her.

Raegan bit her tongue, tasting blood, bringing her sharp clarity and calm. Her voice raspy from dehydration, she challenged, “Have you ever thought about whose daughter I am?”

Davey's expression turned into shock for a brief moment.

Raegan noticed this and felt that she had made some progress. The next part of her plan was crucial to her survival. Without giving Davey time to reflect, she continued: “Mr. Glyn, given your intelligence, you have probably already figured this out.

You know, my brother Erick and I are not biologically related. Have you ever wondered why my father would adopt a child instead of having his own?

Davey laughed disdainfully. “Are you trying to suggest that you are my son? Clever, but I am not naive enough to believe such a tale.”

With that, he turned and walked away, clearly unconvinced.

Raegan collapsed to the ground, motionless, conserving her body heat to prolong her survival. This wild theory was a desperate fabrication on her part.

Davey was smart, but he wasn't without his vulnerabilities. His Achilles heel was his existence as proof of Casey's "infidelity." He wanted her dead because he saw her mother, Casey.

But what if she was actually his daughter? How would that change things? How would he react... He couldn't be that ruthless, could he?

Even though Davey was gone, it didn't mean Raegan had lost. A seed of doubt, once planted, could blossom into endless turmoil.

Raegan was betting that Davey would be tormented by his doubts, trapped by the trap she had set. She had to stay alive until help arrived.

Had to survive.

After leaving the room, Davey faced Casey, who was unable to speak or even change his expression. His gaze was stern.

On the surveillance screen, Raegan was seen lying in the cold storage room, a picture of despair.

Davey stared at Raegan for a long moment. Unexpectedly, his heart, which normally only stirred at the thought of Casey, felt an unusual pang of anguish.

Davey looked away, calming himself in whispers.

At first glance, Raegan had seemed cunning. The things she said and her actions were unreliable. Surely, this was a trap she had set for him.

Casting another glance at Casey, Davey remained silent before suddenly crouching down, grabbing her by the shoulders and shaking her hard. “Casey, are you hiding something from me?”
