Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook

Chapter 1137:

In response to these revelations, Mitchel orchestrated a blockade of all possible exits from Aurora in collaboration with local authorities, initiating an exhaustive manhunt for Davey.

Their analysis suggested that, given Davey's elaborate plan to kidnap Raegan, it was unlikely that Davey would harm her immediately.

Given Davey's ruthless nature, it was clear that he only kept those around him who were of use to him. While Mitchel couldn't figure out why Davey had taken Raegan, he was sure that she must be vital to something.

As Mitchel approached Davey's villa, a deafening explosion occurred, sending a huge plume of smoke into the sky, forming an ominous mushroom cloud over the structure.

In response to the explosion, Stefan cried out in desperation, “Erick!” He slid out of his seat and knelt in the vehicle, overcome with grief, his face buried in his hands. “Erick…” His voice cracked with agony.

Witnessing the scene, Mitchel felt a stinging in his eyes and a tightness in his chest. Resolute, he silently vowed, “Raegan, I will find you.”

The piercing cold enveloped Raegan, a chilling presence she had never felt so intensely before.

Accustomed to the freezing temperatures of Aurora, this new, profound coldness seemed to chill her to the bone, as if she were lying in a dark cavern surrounded by coffins.

A sharp, stabbing pain shot through Raegan, a harsh reminder that the chilling scene was no dream. Exhaustion weighed on her, sapping the strength to even open her eyes.

His body was shaking uncontrollably from the cold, every breath he let out seemed to freeze instantly.

Suddenly, a splash!

A bucket of ice-cold water cascaded over Raegan, shocking her system and forcing her eyelids open against her will.

The icy droplets transformed into frost beads on her eyelashes, a testament to the abnormally cold conditions surrounding her.

After a fleeting numbness, Raegan experienced a strange sensation of alternating heat and cold, as if she were disconnecting from her own body.

A chilling question broke the silence. “What does it feel like?”

Turning toward the voice, Raegan saw Davey, dressed in a red velvet suit, sitting imperiously in a high-backed chair, his appearance reminiscent of a sinister figure from a nightmare.

Suddenly, the chilling scene before him merged with a disturbing memory.

It was another dark, freezing night, similar to this one, filled with the same icy rain.

Raegan remembered her adoptive father leading her endlessly down a seemingly endless path until she tripped and fell, crashing down.

The impact sent young Raegan flying, landing in a muddy ditch, her body and face obscured by mud and hidden in dense reeds, nearly indistinguishable from the dark muck surrounding her.

As she struggled to get up and call for help, she saw her foster father vigorously shaking his head.

Despite the pain, her foster father stood up and intended to carry her as he tried to move on. Young Raegan watched in confusion, unable to understand why he was pretending to carry her as she lay in the ditch.

In a moment of shock, the scene changed. A bright red sports car sped past, its engine roaring like thunder.

He shone his light on his foster father, who continued to imitate the movement, and in a horrible instant, a blinding light seemed to lift him off the ground.
