Realizing the gravity of the situation, Erick sprang into action, even though his heart ached to leave. He shouted throughout the underground chamber: “Everyone, evacuate the village now! There are bombs. Move immediately.”

The team exchanged nervous glances, waiting for Erick to lead the way.

Erick said, “You all go first. That's an order. “I’ll follow you.”

Hesitantly, the team complied and evacuated. Erick then approached the bed to turn the figure lying there.

There was a chilling sound, and a severed head rolled to his feet, causing a horrible taste to rise in his throat, almost making him gag.

At first, Erick feared it was his mother.

However, a closer look revealed that it was not her. The body showed signs of decomposition, particularly around the neck, although the facial features remained relatively preserved, likely an effect of Aurora's cold climate.

Erick's heart sank as he realized it was a trap.

Filled with fear, but determined not to succumb without finding his mother, he ran out of the room.

As he ran, he realized why the face looked familiar. It was Jimena, the family doctor they had been looking for and the one Davey had killed some time ago.

With no time to waste, Erick left the village just as a huge explosion erupted, catapulting a fireball into the sky.

The explosion lifted him off his feet, throwing him back to the ground with a thud.

Meanwhile, Mitchel, deeply worried, headed to Davey's villa.

He had been the first to notice Raegan's absence from the banquet, and despite knowing she might not be welcome, his concern for her well-being prompted him to attend the celebration.

Mitchel, unable to locate Raegan and knowing she was supposedly resting, headed toward his room with growing unease.

As she approached, she saw that the door was slightly ajar, an unusual occurrence for Raegan, who was very meticulous about her privacy.

As I entered, a strange smell filled the air and it quickly became apparent that the room was empty.

Concerned, Mitchel activated an immediate alert and contacted Stefan, who proceeded to secure the entire premises.

However, their exhaustive search for Raegan proved fruitless. Stefan then decided to inspect the room where they believed they had detained "Davey."

Instead, they found the servant who had led Davey into the room, dressed in Davey's white suit and long dead.

Reviewing security footage, Stefan detected anomalies following his exit from a blind spot. In particular, the way the figure that was supposedly Davey walked was peculiar.

His silhouette was different from that of the servant. His boots, now covered in dirt, added to the disguise, making identification from the images more difficult.

It was clear that there had been a change. Davey had never actually been caught. It seemed that Davey had poisoned the servant, who succumbed shortly after being secured in the room.

Mitchel noticed an inconsistency in the attitude on the recording.

Davey was known for wearing leather shoes, but on this occasion he was wearing long boots, a detail that Mitchel thought was a premeditated part of Davey's escape plan, speculating that Erick would be in danger.
