Chapter 1132
Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook
Chapter 1132:
? ? ? ? ?
Mitchel understood that a man must hold on tightly to the person he treasured with actions. He must never let go of the person he cherished, for that would only invite regret.
Raegan was overwhelmed by these feelings. She didn't understand why he was suddenly pouring his feelings out to her, catching her off guard.
She pulled the blanket over her head and mumbled, "I'm a little tired. Let's talk about this another time."
Despite knowing she was trying to avoid the conversation, Mitchel felt helpless. His gaze dulled as he softly said, âRest well.â
With that, he quietly closed the door behind him and left.
Raegan lifted the blanket as soon as she heard the door close, staring at the white ceiling in contemplation. She hadn't yet decided to rekindle her relationship with Mitchel.
Suddenly, a wave of fear washed over her and she wanted to run away.
The darkness of the previous night's solitude had resurrected that familiar feeling of abandonment. Fear gripped herâ¦
Raegan recovered just in time for her baby shower.
Considering the impending event, Erick considered the possibility of involving Mitchel in the plan.
When the time came, he would lead a team and storm Davey's villa, but he worried about Raegan's safety at the celebration, not knowing if Stefan would be able to adequately protect her. Having Mitchel as additional security would certainly be advantageous.
Raegan hesitated, though. Mitchel's mobility issues could complicate matters and arouse Davey's suspicions.
Erick's apprehensions were not unfounded. The plan was not without risks. Whether it was the party-goers or those tasked with breaking into Davey's villa, the situation seemed fraught with uncertainty.
With time running out and not enough time to coordinate personnel, Casey's rescue couldn't wait. After all, Davey was scheduled to sign the company transfer contract the day after tomorrow. Once he left, the chances of finding out Casey's whereabouts were slim.
Mitchel understood the significance of the baby shower, as Erick had elucidated, intended to help Stefan. According to an unspoken decree of the Clifford family, after the baby shower, Stefan would assume the formal role of independent head of the family and could move his registration from the family home.
Although Mitchel felt a pang of jealousy, he suppressed it, acknowledging that while Stefan had affection for Raegan, he was competing fairly without resorting to underhanded tactics. A truly commendable rival in love.
The day of celebration dawned.
Raegan, dressed in a resplendent red dress paired with a gray fur coat, radiated elegance and charm.
Davey, who had not appeared in public for some time, made his entrance at the celebration.
In Aurora's social hierarchy, invitations from influential families like the Cliffords and Maxwells were mandatory, and failure to attend was considered a breach of ties.
Davey's arrival therefore quickly put him in the spotlight.
Dressed in an unusual cream velvet suit, he gave off the facade of a scholar, although Raegan knew better than to be fooled. His true character often revealed itself in unguarded moments.
For some inexplicable reason, Raegan always felt apprehensive around Davey, especially since he tended to stare at her when he arrived, lingering uncomfortably.
Hidden inside Raegan's pearl earring, an earpiece was transmitting Erick's voice. They had already incapacitated all of Davey's security personnel and servants inside his villa.
